Chapter 15 - Drama

Since Dominic threatened her, Jessica has decided to go away and calm down. But that doesn't mean she gives up and forgets her dream of being with the man of her dreams. She deliberately left to devise a plan to get Radella out of Dominic's life and her parents' too.

Meanwhile, her parents have decided not to care and just let her go. Naturally, she feels that she is no longer their favourite child. Especially her mother, who used to defend her from her father.

"I'm leaving, Mum. Maybe with my departure there will be nothing more to make you both sad or sorry for having a child like me," Jessica said with a sad face and suddenly came to her parents with a big suitcase.

"Whatever you want. I don't care what you want to do. One thing's for sure, don't ever try to interfere with Radella and her husband's household again. I will not hesitate to punish you," Hans Yori replied indifferently.

"Dad ..."

"Where are you going, Jessica? Are you going back to Paris to see that man again?" Theana asked her daughter with a worried look on her face.

"Of course not, Mum. I'm going to visit my old friend in Atlanta. He happens to have a company that needs a secretary. And I'm going to try my luck there. Maybe I'll be able to forget about Dominic,* Jessica replied, trying to give her parents a strong alibi.

"Aren't you up to something, Jessica?" asked Hans Yori, looking at her suspiciously.

"Why are you still suspicious of me? Of course I don't have any plans other than for myself," Jessica replied with a disappointed face.

"Hans, never mind. It's better to take Jessica at her word. The most important thing is that our daughter has realised her mistake and wants to change. That's enough for me. As for Radella and Dominic, we can talk about that later," Theana said, trying to reassure them.

"As you wish, Theana. But remember. If anything happens to Radella, I will not be silent like before. You've done enough wrong to our two daughters. And I will never let it happen again," Hans replied, looking ignorant.

"Hans-"

Jessica could only suppress her frustration at her biological father's words. She decided to be patient and didn't want everyone to suspect her again. When the time came, she would get rid of Radella herself, without anyone else's help.

"I'd better go, so you two can stop fighting and blaming each other. Goodbye, ma'am. Take care of yourself," she said with a sad look on her face.

"Jessica ... my daughter ..."

"You needn't cry over her leaving. We didn't send her away. She chose to leave. Hopefully, this time she will truly realise her mistake and not do anything bad again," Hans Yori said, stopping his wife.

"Hans. Please don't say that. Stop blaming Jessica. She also needs our support as her parents. But why ..."

"Because she humiliated our family in front of everyone. And I'll never forget that," replied the man, who was deeply disappointed by his eldest daughter's behaviour.

"Hans-"

"Dad-"

"Jessica ... where are you going, where are you going?"

The three of them were so surprised when Radella arrived at her parents' house that morning. But Dominic was nowhere to be seen with her. Of course, this made everyone feel strange. Because Dominic is not usually like this.

But it was different from what Jessica felt. Seeing the arrival of her younger sister and rival for Dominic's love, she tried to put on a pitiful face until Radella was overwhelmed with guilt. That was part of her plan, of course.

"Where are you going, Sis? Are you still angry with me about what happened yesterday? Really, it wasn't me. I don't know why there's a video either. I-"

"Never mind. It's all my fault. You don't have to blame yourself. Dominic is right. I'm just her past. And I have no right to her anymore. Because he has chosen you as his future. So I'm sorry for all the mistakes I've made these past few days," Jessica said, crying over her fate.

"Sista ..."

"May you be happy with the man who loves you so much. No need to ask where I went. Because I went of my own free will," she said again, making Radella's feelings even more chaotic. Unconsciously, Jessica smiled slightly at the change in her younger sister's face.

"But, Jessica. We can still talk about this. Please don't be like this. How will I forgive myself if you go? I'll call Dominic and ask him to divorce me so you can be together again. But don't leave this house. I-"

"Radella! Enough of this! Don't ever think that I'm going to divorce you just because Jessica has decided to leave. Let her go and don't think about her."

Radella and the others never expected the man who had been the subject of her and Jessica's conversation to suddenly appear with a face full of anger and disappointment.

"Dominic ... you …"

"Dominic is right, Radella. I'm not worth keeping around. My presence has made your household hotter. And our parents are at odds with each other. I don't want that to happen. So let me go and make my own way in life," Jessica said with a guilty look on her face.

"But where will you go? You only have me and our parents now. Please don't be like that, Jessica. Don't you feel sorry for Mum and Dad?" asked Radella, as if she couldn't accept her sister's decision to leave.

"Radella, let her go. I don't care if she wants to go or not. Because her presence is no longer important to me," said Hans Yori - the father of the two girls - staring at Radella, who was dejectedly holding back her tears.

"Daddy-"

"You heard the answer yourself, didn't you, Radella? Even my father doesn't care about my presence, so why are you sad? Anyway, I'm leaving now," Jessica said, as if stalling for time.

"But ..."

"Radella. Enough! If you're still like this, I'll never allow you to see your parents again. Do you understand?"

"Dominic-"

"I'll wait for you in the car. Let's go home," Dominic said with a face full of anger and disappointment in Radella.

"But, Dominic. I' still-"

"Dad, Mum, please forgive me. It looks like I have to take Radella back to the apartment. Do you mind?" the man said to his in-laws.

"Of course not, Dominic. You'd better take Radella away from here and not come back for a while. At least until I can make sure she's safe and that no one will harm her," Hans replied without hesitation, ordering his son-in-law to take Radella away from their home immediately.

"Thank you, father. Then we'll both say goodbye. Come, Radella. Or I will..."

"Dad, Mum ... I'm going home first," Radella interrupted her husband.

"Take care of yourself, Radella. Please don't misunderstand your husband. He's just..."

"I know that, Daddy," she continued.

Radella decided to leave and follow her husband. She didn't want any new problems to arise that would cause difficulties for her and Dominic. Of course, she didn't want anyone else to benefit from this. Who else, if not Jessica. Even though her sister had decided to leave, she still didn't trust her one hundred percent. She was sure that her sister was hiding something from her.

All the way to the apartment they were both silent in their own thoughts. But one thing Radella was sure of, right now Dominic must be having the same thoughts and she didn't want to think about it alone.

"Don't you find it strange that Jessica left in such a hurry? After all, her sudden behaviour was so kind and polite that it makes me wonder," Dominic asked, still concentrating on driving his car.

"I'm thinking the same thing as you, Dominic. But none of us know what she is up to. So it would be better for us to pretend that we don't know," Radella replied.

"I'm sure he's planning something bad for both of us, Radella. And I'm asking you to be more careful where you go from now on," Dominic said suspiciously to Jessica.

"Of course, Dominic. I'll keep that in mind. You should too," Radella replied again.

"That's for sure. I will never allow that woman to interfere with our household. As I told you, my relationship with Jessica is over and it can never be repaired. So don't ever think that I'll go back to her," the man said at length, leaving Radella speechless.

"I'm sorry, darling," Radella said, feeling guilty.
