An hour later, with medical clearances given, the scavengers were soon gathered in front of Shane once more.
Gideon looked relieved. "Your doc says we're clean. So… what's the cost of staying here?"
Shane glanced toward the empty buildings near the southern side of the settlement. Originally built for potential newcomers, they were simple but sturdy wooden houses. Each house had enough space for ten or so people.
"Two of those houses should be enough for your people," Shane said. "You'll get three days—longer if you prove useful. The price is one Zombie Core per day."
It means that they have to pay 20 Zombie Cores days if they want to stay here.
The price was definitely a lot more expensive than the Neutral Shelters. After all, they only had to spend three Zombies Cores and that would already grant them 7 days of stay.
