However, Amelia refused to back down, even though her body was in no state to continue their fight. She looked around, her vision blurring as she took in the scene of devastation.
The entire floor was soaked in blood, with the bodies of the guild hunters strewn everywhere like broken dolls. Not all of them were dead, but even those alive were on the verge of passing, and their dying moans didn't help lighten up the atmosphere.
Charles and his minions had left nothing but destruction in their wake. Amelia herself was barely holding on. Blood dripped from a deep cut on her forehead, and she felt lightheaded as her body ran on adrenaline.
She knew she could pass out at any moment, but she couldn't afford to fall. Not now. Not till someone arrived to deal with Charles first. But even that thought seemed absurd... who could stop a beast like him?
