When they saw Seraphina, Vex and Charles were surprised. They were expecting Adrian to have a plan in place, but what surprised them was their inability to detect Seraphina until she revealed herself to them.
While Charles expected Vex to fall for such tricks, he was in disbelief that despite being an S-ranker, he couldn't even feel the aura of another S-rank hunter.
That thought worried him. It almost felt like Adrian's companions were somehow superior to anyone on Earth, which was an absurd thought.
"How did you get here?" Vex demanded, eyes narrowing at Seraphina.
Truth be told, it was plain luck. Seraphina was taking a walk when Vex decided to cut the power supply.
Since she was expecting someone might try to pull some shit, she headed towards the entrance and found Vex and Charles there. But she wasn't going to tell them about it.
However, Charles answered the question for her.
