George was furious once Adrian told him about last night's incident —so much so that he almost instructed the juniors from his firm to write a cease-and-desist letter to them.
But Adrian stopped him. Clearly, his former family didn't have much respect for the nation's laws, but if they wanted to test him, they would have to bear the brunt as well.
But in order to do what he wanted, he would first need to become a ranker. Once he got his hand on the speciality laws that protect Rankers, he was free to do with them as he pleased.
By this time, the girls had joined in and were informed about the incident. Adrian then had to stop Sophia from doing something, but seeing her acting like that was quite nice.
That's when Adrian explained his plans to them, and George got up and left. After all, what Adrian was planning to do was barely legal, and as a lawyer, George couldn't be a part of the discussions as much as he wanted to—not yet, at least.
