Despite the surprise attack, it seemed the DRA and the hunters had everything under control. After all, they were the best. That said, they had taken quite a hit and had a few casualties, but it seemed they'd win the fight.
However, soon, they began to notice something was off. Their abilities felt dulled when earlier they could one-shot the enemies; now, it was taking them multiple attacks to kill a mere ghost soldier.
In other words, the more they used their abilities, the less effective their skills got—something the enemies readily took advantage of.
