It was a quiet night outside the hospital owned by the Misty Swords. Two police officers, John and Mike, were stationed there, keeping an eye on things, especially around a certain hunter upon the Chief's request.
Some hunters were along with them, but they were inside, leaving the outside in the police's care.
Thanks to the good weather, the cops didn't mind as they stood outside their patrol car, chatting to pass the time as usual.
"So, how's the family, John?" Mike asked, leaning against the car, staring at the sky.
"You know, same old, same old. Kids are doing fine in school. Wife is working overtime as usual," John sighed. "By the way, did you hear about Bill's wife? She cheated on him. Poor guy's a wreck."
"Yeah, I heard," Mike shook his head. "No idea why he is so upset, though. It isn't like he wasn't shacking up with Sarge's wife and her stepdaughter from the second marriage."
