Eudora stepped into the room, confident as usual. Her bronze skin shone in the soft light, and her long white hair fell down her back like a waterfall. She walked into the mansion as if she owned the place until she saw Shinon.
"Shinon, I told you not to contact me anymore-" she called out as she approached the old, frail-looking man sitting in the corner. "Oh my god... what happened to you!? You look like you've aged decades in mere weeks."
Shinon glanced up at Eudora with tired eyes, "It's...complicated."
Eudora rushed to him, pulling his head into her chest to soothe his conflicted mind. "You can tell me anything, Shinon. Whatever it is, we'll figure it out together."
However, as she tried her best to console Shinon, he pushed her away with surprising strength. But the look in his eyes caught her off guard... those were the eyes of suspicion.
