After chatting a while longer and learning about the Church and the newly installed defences, Adrian was about to end their little get-together. But he had a final question to ask of Bellion.
"What about me?" Adrian mumbled. "Who gave you the contract to kill me?"
"You know I can't tell you that."
Adrian was surprised to hear those words coming out of Bellion's mouth. After ensuring Bellion was still under his control, Adrian asked him again, but Bellion's response remained the same.
Even under Adrian's influence, Bellion wasn't going to abandon his 'morals' as an assassin and leak his client's name. But there were ways to say things without uttering them, and Adrian's control compelled Bellion to find a way to convey the truth, which he did.
