Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Count Atlan

The train was already there, its doors open. However, no assistant was present at the entrance to guide people inside since even the authorities didn't expect anyone to board from those small cities. It was just for formality that it even stopped here.

Raven, Zephyr, and Leira stepped onto the train, finding an empty compartment. They settled in, their senses still heightened, never fully letting their guard down.

Inside the train, one of the staff noticed them taking seats. The man rushed towards their group. "Where do you think you are? This isn't a place just anyone can walk into. Get out!"

The Staff Member didn't expect anyone in this place to board. The train has been stopping here for years, yet not a single person boarded this in the past. Even now, he thought that someone boarded by mistake, especially since these people didn't look like nobles either.

"Why should we leave?" Zephyr asked, showing the three passes.

"Huh, you think passes for other trains will work here?" The staff member took the tickets, tossing them away. "Get out!"

"You..." Zephyr stood up, his expressions darkening. However, Leira grabbed his wrist, gesturing him to calm down.

"Are you trying to kick us out without a reason?" She stood up and picked the passes. " Looks like we have no choice but to contact the Knights and ask them to check our passes. But after that, you might be the one kicked out for this behavior."

"Who are you trying to scare? As if I've never come across such liars!" The staff members rolled his eyes.

He had been working here for a long time and knew what kind of people boarded this train. Not a single amongst them wasn't a Noble who hadn't boarded with multiple guards. He didn't even consider the possibility that they were telling the truth.

Leira's lips twitched. Since when has a mere mortal been this arrogant towards her. If it wasn't for Raven, she would've crushed his skull before leaving the train.

"And you..." The dark haired person turned his attention to Raven, who was the only person sitting even now. "Are you a King or something? Do I need to give you an invitation to get off the train?"

He rubbed his forehead. "Leave while I'm asking nicely. You have no idea how long you'll be in prison for lying to an official."

Raven raised his head, looking at the man through the contact lenses. However, after taking a single glance, he closed his eyes once again. Only his fingers moved, making a gesture to Leira.

Leira nodded, a devilish smirk spreading across her lips. She reached out her hand towards the Train Staff. However, as she was about to touch him, she stopped, hearing footsteps coming from the distance.

Even Raven opened his eyes, frowning. He didn't just hear the footsteps, but he also felt the surroundings turning colder. As he was a weak mortal at this point, he felt that cold even more. It was as if there was a suppression all around them. Only Zephyr and Leira remained completely oblivious to the suppression.

"What's the commotion?" A powerful voice came from behind.

Zephyr and Leira glanced at the man coming from the distance. Even Raven stood up, glancing behind.

On the other end of the coach, he noticed a man in his early thirties, dressed in majestic attire, carrying a heavy sword on his back.

"Count Atlan!" The Train Staff exclaimed, respectfully greeting the man respectfully.

He glanced at the woman next to him, smugly whispering. "Now you're screwed. Count Atlan hates liars the most!"

Hearing the man's name, Raven was finally able to remember some information. Count Atlan... He was the youngest noble in Camelot. He was someone who wasn't born into a Noble Household. Instead, he achieved nobility after achieving great deeds with his sword.

Atlan was granted the title personally by Arthur. It was also said that he was a possible candidate to become an official member of the Round Table which was the most powerful authority in Camelot after Arthur and Merlin.

Even Dukes were insignificant before a member of the Round Table. Because of being a possible candidate, Count Atlan was given a lot of attention and importance.

To see Atlan in this train was surprising, even for Raven. Usually, a few knights were assigned to the train for security. However, those Knights were nothing compared to Atlan in terms of importance and strength.

Seeing Atlan here, Raven thought of two possibilities. One was that Atlan was assigned here because of him as King Arthur was worried.

Raven felt that it was unlikely. If Arthur really thought that he was here, he would've sent more than just Atlan! There was no way Arthur was going to underestimate him this much.

That only left the second possibility, which also had the highest chance of being true. It was that someone really important was going to travel through this train. And Atlan was assigned to protect that person.

Raven was curious as to who that person could be. There were only a few people that could demand this kind of protection in Camelot. Even a Duke's family couldn't afford it.

The first were the family members of Round Table Knights. And the others were Royal Family Members. In any case, Raven felt that things had gotten very troublesome with the addition of Atlan.

He was planning to end this commotion by having Leira kill the train staff and disguising as him so there was no problem through the journey. But now, he was glad that Atlan wasn't a few seconds late in appearing. If he had done that, he would've been greeted with a completely different sight.

"What's the commotion here?" Atlan stopped next to Raven, asking the staff member. "Why are you being so loud?"

"My Lord, it's all because of these lawless people!" The man exclaimed, pointing at Raven. "They keep trying to force their way, despite being told that this isn't the place where they belong. They just don't follow the laws!"

Atlan turned to the boy next to him. In the distance, Zephyr frowned, worried that even the slightest flaw in the disguise could be caught by Atlan.
