Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Three Star Places

"You want to know where your other items are?" Zephyr asked, frowning. "Are you thinking about...?"

They had just escaped from Hades and Arthur. Zephyr was certain that by now, this news would've spread everywhere. Almost everyone was going to be on high alert.

As for the security of these items, it was going to be heightened as well, making it almost impossible to even reach them, let alone retrieve them.

If Raven was fine, he wouldn't have worried about it that much. But with the condition Raven was in, this became even more dangerous.

The first time Raven used the Earring, he was able to use five percent of his strength. But that also made the curse stronger. The second time he used it, he was only able to use three percent of his original strength. A third time... Zephyr wasn't sure if it was going to be enough to protect his master.

With the curse getting stronger, Raven was like a frail mortal, who could barely hold on. And in that condition, to put himself at risk, it didn't feel like a good idea for Zephyr.

"I think we should wait until things calm down. Going after them at a time like this... I don't th-" Zephyr tried speaking, but the moment he saw the cold look in Raven's eyes, he stopped himself.

He closed his mouth, remembering who was standing before him. Even though he was under a heavy curse that made him weaker than the weakest mortal, but that didn't change who he was at his core.

He had been with Raven for a long time. He knew what kind of person his master was. Nothing he said was going to ever convince him.

"The closest one will be in Camelot itself. But it's also one of the hardest to reach," he calmly stated.

Raven raised his hand, creating a subtle gesture, as if asking which one it was.

"I'm not sure which one it is. Even we haven't been able to gather that much information unfortunately. In fact, we don't even know the location of half the items. We only have a rough idea on who might be keeping them. But the one in Camelot, we know where it is."

Raven frowned, realizing what a big problem it was if they didn't even know where his things were. Still, he remained calm, knowing that first he had to retrieve as much as he could so he could have some protection.

With more items, he could break more of his curse, even if it's for short intervals.

He stood up and walked over to a shelf. Opening the shelf, he brought out a scroll. He returned with the scroll, placing it on the table before unfolding it.

Looking at the comment of the scroll, Zephyr was able to realize that it was a map. "A map of Camelot?"

He understood what Raven wanted him to do. He wanted him to mark their destination.

Zephyr reached out his hand, placing it on a certain point on the map. In the map, that point was marked with a special sign of its own.

In Camelot, there were three important places that had their own holy sign on the map. One was the Palace where King Arthur lived. The second place was where the Knights of Round Tablet stayed. And lastly, it was this place...

When Raven heard that one of his belongings was kept in Camelot, he thought it was going to be in Arthur's Palace. But even he hadn't expected something like this.

"That's why I said it's harder to retrieve it from there. It would've been much easier to retrieve it from Arthur's Palace than to retrieve it from this place," Zephyr commented. "We should delay the plan for now, and wait for others to arrive."

Raven picked up a pen. Using the red pen, he marked a cross on the location, writing a date next to the cross.

Zephyr felt a headache coming. Not only was Raven not dropping the plan, but he had also finalized a date which was two weeks from now.

In this life, Raven had lived in Camelot. Even if he didn't have a good life, knowledge wasn't something he lacked as he had been reading since childhood. He knew everything that was to be known about Camelot, from the power structure to the Three Star Places.

"As My Lord desires!" Zephyr went down on one knee, accepting the command. "I will go there and retrieve it, even if I have to die."

Although they had just escaped from the mouth of death, he was once again willing to enter the jaws of death again. Although it was risky, he trusted Raven.

While Zephyr offered his promise, he heard a growling sound. He raised his head, taking a moment to realize where that sound came from.

"Ah, how foolish of me!" He slapped his forehead. "How could I forget that you haven't eaten for a long time."

Gods could go on for a long time without having to eat. But it was different for Raven, who was no different than a mortal at this point.

"I will go out and get something for you." He instantly turned around, disappearing into the shadows as he left the house.

Raven was left alone in the house, glancing at the red cross on the map of Camelot. Right next to the cross, there was the name of the territory mentioned.

"Ashborn Duchy."

His home was close to his destination, yet it couldn't be any farther.

He glanced at the small photo frame of a woman kept on the table, his calm eyes finally showing a trace of emotions, as if someone had tossed a stone in the calm sea.

He stood up, walking towards the photo frame. He carefully picked up the photo frame, gazing at the woman. After a brief pause, he tossed the photo frame at the wall behind him, the glass frame shattering into small pieces.
