As Lenny silently stared at his phone ring, he figured it was most likely Sophia's dad, as that was the only person's call he was anticipating.
Answering it, he put it to his ear, then heard a deep baritone voice from the other side greet, "Good evening."
"Good evening," Lenny greeted back.
"Am I speaking with Lenny Park?"
Lenny, already certain of the caller's identity, quickly affirmed, "Yes, you are."
"It's Sophia's dad," the caller said, sounding somber and tired. "My wife gave me your contact and informed me of your visit. She also told me about what happened in the subway with Sophia. Thank you very much for rescuing my daughter."
"You're welcome." Lenny didn't wish to prolong the call, so he went straight to the agenda. "Did your wife also inform you I wish to speak with you about Sophia's school transit?"
