Walking up the stairs to the third floor of the apartment complex, Lenny's phone buzzed with a number he just saved about three hours ago.
The call was from the store where he purchased the wide desk and chair, and they were calling to inquire whether Lenny would be at home to receive the delivery.
Lenny checked the time, and seeing there was only a couple minutes before he was to start rushing for his shift, he simply answered:
"Unfortunately, no. I can't receive it today, anymore. Is it possible for you to deliver it tomorrow morning…? Awesome. Thank you."
Arriving back at his apartment, he quickly cleaned up the old rusty refrigerator and started sorting out the groceries, arranging them inside in transparent storage containers. He couldn't allow anything to spoil or waste.
