Lenny's heart beat rapidly as he studied the faces of the three young men.
"Are you guys heartless? Your friend is in pain over there and the other can't really see. They need medical attention."
The three young men didn't answer Lenny as they calmly studied him too.
Pete, the young man with the broken foot, painfully used his hands to move away from the area, afraid of getting hit in the crossfire of the soon-commencing battle.
As he did this, the pepper-sprayed brat—who had wiped some of the liquid off his eyes and managed to endure the pain—moved over to help him, dragging him to the entrance area of the alleyway.
Lenny continued, "I read somewhere that if a pepper-sprayed individual isn't treated quickly, they might become blind."
He lingered for a second before adding, "Permanently."
"Quit your bullshit," Real retorted. "You think you're smart, huh? Jim, Bill, make sure to grab him at once."
