Stella felt her cheeks flush as she tried to gather her thoughts amidst the whirlwind of emotions.
She waited for Lukas to speak.
She always dreamt of a prince charming by reading the fairy tales of her homeland. She wanted one but not like this! Lukas opened his mouth, and Stella looked down, her ears turning red just by imagining. She always tries acting strong. But now, at that moment, her girly side started blooming and she started imagining many scenarios.
"Ok, I'm being serious here," Lukas spoke seriously. He couldn't let her waste her skills using that rapier. Her trait will shine with twin blades or daggers connected with chains. Even sabers will do well with that trait.
Stella's mind was in chaos. Hearing he was serious, it was going to really happen! Her prince charming has come. She glanced at Lukas, gulping down her saliva. She didn't see him that way until now, but she has to comment. He's handsome.
She started a scenario in her mind, Lukas wearing all white on a big black horse, flower on his mouth, rushing towards her. She's wearing a white dress, a white veil on her face.
Her prince charming stopped and got down from the horse, knelt down, and said, "I love..."
Then Lukas's voice rang out.
"Switch to Saber. It will suit your trait more."
Her mind went blank as her eyes widened.
She looked at him, her dream shattering, and words escaped from her mouth, "Wh-What?"
Lukas nodded seriously, "Yeah, your trait is awesome. It will shine with a saber, I assure you."
She was still processing what he just said. Wasn't he about to propose to her? The image of her beautiful dream reappeared in her mind, and her face flushed in embarrassment.
Seeing her lowering her head, Lukas thought she was thinking deeply and stepped forward.
"It was for your own good."
Sensing Lukas came too close, she looked up. Their eyes met. Time passed by slowly. She could see her reflection in his eyes.
She could feel him breathing. Right away, her face flushed turning redder than ever. She lifted her left arm and tried to slap his face in embarrassment.
But how could she hit Lukas? Lukas's eyes widened as he quickly reacted, nearly avoiding the white hand.
Stella, who was still flustered, lost her balance in the process and fell down on him. Lukas wasn't expecting it and swiftly grabbed her, but it was still in a weird pose, and he also fell down on his back while holding Stella firmly.
Her long, soft hair covered his head like a dome. As she tried to move away, their eyes locked once again.
And then, a sound of something dropping came from the side. Both Lukas and Stella looked to the side. First, they saw the two pairs of pale legs. And then they looked at the person.
Lukas's eyes widened each moment, realizing who they were. The pale skin and the red heart-shaped choker and the maid costume. They were none other than Levia and her maid. Stella realized what situation they were in and quickly tried to get up. But unfortunately, the situation became worse. She slipped and fell down on him again, burying the left side of his face under her developing bosoms.
Time seemed to slow as Lukas looked at the shocked face of the maid, and Levia looked at him in disgust.
Stella widened her eyes and quickly regained her sitting position on his stomach. Her face flushed before her hand moved in a swing.
—Slap!
She slapped his left cheek with all her might, leaving a red imprint of her palm across his face.
She quickly stood up, embarrassed, and ran away, leaving poor Lukas lying on the ground with a saddened expression, thinking, "What did I do wrong to deserve this?"
He closed his eyes, accepting his fate.
"Tch" rang out. The owner was Levia, before they headed towards the dormitory.
Lukas lay there on the same spot for a long time, gazing down at the white sky, thinking deeply, trying hard to understand what just happened and why he deserved this.
He's trying to save people, but the world is treating him so cruelly. Students passed by, asking him why he was lying down there.
He only muttered, "Life is cruel."
All of them, every single student, looked at him weirdly, thinking he had gone mad.
Lukas stood up, dusted off his clothes, and touched his cheeks, which still hurt like hell. Slowly, he headed towards the dormitories.
Meanwhile,
Dormitory number 106.
In a room, a figure can be seen lying down on the bed. It was a girl. She was murmuring something, burying her own face under the pillow and rolling around.
It was Stella Kester. She had experienced something. Her heart was beating faster, and her face was flushed.
Muttering, "Baka Lukas, Duffess Lukas. How could he get so close.." her words were cut off by her own mind as she remembered his face in such detail and the tingling feeling she felt when she buried him under her things.
" Ahhhhhhhh" she shouted, rolling on the bed again.
"No no, what am I thinking? He's an idiot."
"Yes, an idiot."
And thus, just like that, two individual people - one in room 106, Lukas Ver Owsdin, and one in room 136 - spent the rest of the day. One still questioning why he deserved that, and the other cursing Lukas for a deed he wasn't directly responsible for.
