Chapter 46 - chap 46

The golem responded to his touch, its purple orb glowing brighter as if acknowledging its master. Lukas felt happy and couldn't help but remember their good old golem that sacrificed itself saving them in his past life.

The name, "Aurora," was also related to that. He remembered how it always used to call him "Aura" as it struggled to speak out his old name, "Arnold."

He sighed, freshened up before getting to work. He gently cut off the power supply, which was an energy heart he got from Professor Oaken.

And started working on the left glove. He wanted to add some arrows there. The process of making a golem can be done in various ways, which are:

• Conjuring: Basically conjures the body right at the spot through magic and runes, leaving out the heart which stays with the master.

• Alchemy engineering path: Changing the shape of moss and soil along with many intricate runes and sigils, turning a specific tree spice's core which can understand and wave its vines to humans. Basically, it's like switching the body of the tree.

• Blacksmiths: Basically, instead of going for magical energies, the blacksmiths' path contains iron and a fixed structural body with a removable heart.

That's what he was going for. He formed the heart, giving his soul powers. As for how a golem gets sentient, it collects the soul power and copies the master's emotions and thinking process, storing them on the artificial heart. Basically, that's how and why a golem of a genius becomes a genius and the work of a dumb fellow becomes dumb.

He got to work. He had already bought the specific parts and materials needed, which were cut, organized, and modified by Professor Oaken.

He also wanted to give his soul essence to form the heart, but Lukas objected. He wanted to create his own, with his own level of thinking process.

Arranging the parts wasn't hard, but engraving the sigils was hard. Thankfully, he was just at the first circle, and the sigils he could engrave were limited.

And today was the day. He would finish it, if he could hopefully. Hours passed by as he started working on it. The engraved sigils and runes were done by an engraver tool, which basically melted the material and put small elemental stone particles for mana circulation.

A few hours passed by as he adjusted the armor, changing some parts from here and there while leaving some spaces for future sigils. He knew the materials the armor was made of wouldn't last him long, but it was enough for him to pass some of the tower floors.

He also made the purple orb, which was the heart, detachable so that he could easily upgrade it.

And finally, he finished it. His work was done.

He wiped the sweat on his forehead as he looked at his own creation with satisfaction.

Body of black salamander scales with flexible parts connected with iron spider silk.

Two core defensive Tier one rune formations at the hand guards, which contain:

[ Sigil of Solidness: Condenses the essence.

Sigil of half dome: Conjures essence into a half dome.

Sigil of full Dome: Conjures essence into a full dome.

Pretty simple for the defensive part, as only this was available to him as a first circle. Which sucks.

But that didn't stop him from being creative. He couldn't use his soul gear on the defensive spells to reduce the cost of mana, as the sigils need to be written on the armor.

But for the arrows on the left hand, he can just put the necessary sigils that will form the arrow. This will take essence from an elemental stone which he got from the auction for 7k credit points, a fire type.

As for the enchantment sigils like sharpness, condensed, spiraling sigils, they can be put on the book. He just has to use a little bit of mana to make the fire elemental stone engage with essence and form it, and then he will just activate everything through his soul gear.

This makes him able to use another element more proficiently while reducing mana usage through his soul gear.

He was excited to try it out right away. He gulped down two mana recovery potions to freshen up, then he stood facing the armor.

"Aurora, now," he muttered.

The sigils on the armor lit up along with a sweet voice echoing, "Affirmative, Master."

It responded. Lukas stepped back as the armor's automatic attachable function started moving on its own.

The flexible parts started warping around his chest, and as he spread his arms wide open, the armor attached to him. The process didn't take long; it was already completed.

He looked at his dark armor-covered hands and the thick vest on his chest.

He nodded in satisfaction and right away activated the defensive mechanisms.

The sigils on the hand glove glowed with a thick red color, and a large amount of fire essence was exhausted before rapidly forming a dome above his hand, covering half the size of his body.

The mana consumption was moderate. Lukas felt his mana being consumed slowly.

He deactivated it and headed towards the Woden dummy to test his fire arrow.

[Locking the target, ready to command.]

Aurora's voice echoed as he summoned his soul gear, just the purple pen, and pointed towards the dummy.

The armor activated, and from the back where the fire elemental essence was located, it started activating, exhausting red fire essence right above the back of his hand and right away transforming into a blazing arrow.

Without further delay, he activated the written script.

Right away, as the sigils took effect, the arrow started spinning rapidly and its form became more condensed, while the tip of the arrow became sharper.

With a flick of his hand, he let it go, and the arrow soared through the air, its fiery tail trailing behind it. With a swift impact, the arrow struck the target dead center, piercing through with remarkable precision. A grin spread across Lukas's face as he witnessed the effectiveness of his creation. "Yes!" he exclaimed, feeling a surge of excitement.

He wasn't happy to see the damage or anything. He was excited seeing that it worked perfectly, meaning he can do far more things in this way as he breaks through to new levels while reducing the mana consumption significantly.

Seeing it work, and the high numbers flashing on the blue screen behind the testing dummy, he felt satisfied grabbing the potions pouch wrapped around his waist and wearing the dark cloak that he got from the auction long ago.

He headed for the tower. It was time for him to pass the 14th floor.
