Chapter 38: Quest rewards
Hex stood valiantly watching the multiple notifications pop up before him. He read every single one to be glad of his recent achievements.
For a moment he borrowed his eyes from the notifications to scan through the battle feild, the Rock soul Titan's body parts were scattered everywhere. Coating the ground in blood and flesh.
Hex huffed hard feeling the backlash of his power run a heavy drought through his chest. He grunted afterward feeling his legs wobble beneath him.
With one thought of Hex's mind his sword faded into purple smoke later dispersing to nothingness. After this Hex fell to his bottom breathing heavily.

Hex furrowed his eyes in awe. Just from killing a Titan he attained so much level ups and a lot of other attributes.
'Man I should have killed a lot of Titan's, I have been the one fooling myself with those small fries.'
Hex ravaged through his thoughts reading through his notifications one after the other as others appeared too.

Hex locked his thoughts on this for a while. He would however like to attend to this one first, to the others.

After this the next notification came up almost immediately making Hex's eyes glisten as he was pleased by what he earned.

Hex searched through it and again was mesmerized. So far this was the best materials he had ever recovered from the Phantom.
He could use two of the rewards to amplify his weapons and the other to level himself up.

Hex was thrown aback by the speed of the Phantom, it already knew the kind of person he was and resorted to acting before he ordered.

Hex crowed his head around, seemingly he still had time to go through his attributes, since the others were still recovering from the Titan's mind attacks.

Hex was rather excited to see this part, he was sure to have leveled up a lot from all those battles.

This notifications were new to Hex. He had never experienced his weapons leveling up. This made him eager.
But as Hex was about to access the next notification. He heard the distant calling of a female.
Not just a female, but a group as if he was being searched for.
"Hex!"

"Tch! This bastards are being troublesome! Maybe I should make them Exp points?" Hex suggested and almost immediately recieved a Phantom Notification.

Still Hex regretted the fact he couldn't kill them and hide the evidence of him using his ability in front of them. Well unfortunately!
'It's actually fun to have a group of idiots searching for you.'
A smile beamed across Hex's face. This feeling he never knew in his past life. The feeling of being the one needed not the other way around.
Mizumi, Sky and Hannah, would have died in this gap if he wasn't the one that they picked to join.
Hex couldn't help but wonder that was how they died in the original timeline. All killed by the Rock soul Titan. But in this timeline he was there saviour....
This ignited a flow of warmth in Hex's heart.

Hex saw Mizumi and the others sprinting at him. She was crying, her eyes was pouring out tears. Not to mention her smiling like he was her boyfriend.

Hex shifted his gaze past her, Sky was also running with his head down to the ground, whereas Hannah didn't move a spot standing shamefully in the distance.
"Hex!" Mizumi was the first to reach, jumping on Hex and hugging him tightly. She burst into tears unable to hold her restricted feelings anymore.
'Not again, do I look like a crying napkin to you?'
Hex ranted in his mind rolling his eyes away from Mizumi and to Sky.
He was busy studying thoroughly Hex's physic. He was a little bewildered too, wondering.....
'After taking those enormous weight hits the magus looks perfectly alright.....'
Sky swallowed his saliva consecutively. This was all too much for him to take in at once.
Hex needed to address this matter, the tenseness in the group after meeting someone so powerful was sure to escalate to the entire world if he didn't stop it here.
He couldn't explain to them. Actually no explanation he could give would make anyone understand how a weapon could appear from nothingness. Though He too never understood the theory.
"Sky," Hex called out to the only sane stable person at this moment. "I will need to ask a favour from you all."
Sky nodded already understanding the categories of this discussion. "We won't speak a word about this to anyone..... Your secret is safe with us, at least we owe you that much."
Hex smiled inwardly, 'You don't owe me no promises, I need your cash.'

Hex weaved his eyes and so did Sky and Hannah. Looking at the other group members racing past the unhinged doors to their aid.
"What happened?"
"Whoa the boss is a Titan!"
"Sky killed the Titan!"
"Sky is amazing!"
"Mizumi and Hannah are hurt!"
Before they even reached them they were already raining questions and sheilding the rains with their self thought answers.
Happily Hex grinned. At least now he wouldn't have to make any excuses about him being the one that killed it.
He had also achieved a lot of Cursed core to sell and gain extra coins.
'Shit, now I can't steal the golden throne.'
The throne and master's core would be shared among the group members. After it was sold.
At least Hex had something to look up to when he got home.
