Chapter 25 - 25: Evolved species

'So this was how an evolved species looked?'

Hex was still mesmerized by that fact. After a long moment of thought he finally summoned the gutsy to speak.

"If you're so smart why don't you wear pants?"

The Earth dweller growled, it's expression faltering. "You dare mock me."

"And how do you clean your ass?" Hex halted and counted the number of tentacle-like arms linked to its body.

"You have so many hands, do you use the ones on the left or the right, man this is conflicting."

The Earth dweller snorted angrily. "You shall pay for your insults!"

Harrrck! Bruff!

Growls and footsteps emerged from behind the Master Earth Dwellers, with scores of its lackeys racing toward Hex in fast succession.

'Even with it's evolution, this Earth dweller relies on an army.'

Hex wished he also had an army to handle the fleeting Earth dwellers while he went after the Master. Unfortunately he didn't.

Well, having an army has its drawbacks. He could not contribute a cent to anyone, let alone pay for an entire fleet to be under his command.

The reality of being poor was heart breaking.

{Quest alert}

'A surprise quest, this better not be a waste of time'

{Kill the evolved Master Earth dweller}

{Reward}

-15 Exp

-Rare Material

The final detail piqued Hex's interest. A rare material would be awarded to him if he could defeat such a small fry.

'Is this thing set to easy mode.'

Just as his adrenaline was about to give him pleasant shivers, another notice flashed.

{The user is not authorized to use weapons}

'What the hell! Am I supposed to fight this things with my bare hands!'

Hex saw his weapons sizzle from solid to gas before disintegrating and disappearing from his hands.

'Years ago, this trash was mumbling I am here to make your life better, and now it is attempting to murder me!'

Krieeecchk!

Hex didn't give another second of thought to his action. He blasted forward at an astounding pace, frightening the Earth's dweller.

His speed was quite hard to follow. This left the Earth dwellers dumbfounded and reluctant to continue foward in their assault.

Kieuk! Fueekaaah!

In a second, Hex reaches the first few Earth dwellers tearing them apart with his bare hands.

He contaminated the floor with their blood and refused to stop until all that remained were mounds of flesh and bones.

Hex grabbed one by the neck squeezing hard till it's neck slimmed in a cacophony of spewing blood and shattering bones.

Hex's body caught a purple glow that flared high to the ceiling of the cave.

He inclined his balled fist in the air and plummets it down to the ground.

BOOOOM! Shwoooom!!!

As soon as his fist struck the floor, a powerful wind and purple hot boiling Mana were discharged into the atmosphere.

The wind knocked the Earth dwellers off their wobbling stand.

It did not stop there; the purple streams of Mana ripped through their skins and flesh, reducing them to ash and bones as it passed.

Keeuuk! Heeiiicck!!!!

Effusive shrieks were aroused from the affected Earth dwellers.

The remaining few that were left affected scurried back a little. There were just five survivors from the enormous army of assault.

'An army of uselessness...'

The Master Earth dweller quaked in it's stand. Its throat had encountered the dryness known as horror.

It had intended for this war to go its way, but those aspirations were far from fulfilled.

The master Earth dweller knew everything would be going sideways from now on.

'I will have to use the full length of my evolution.....'

Hex emerged from the fuming corpses of the Earth Dwellers proudly.

If it was in his former life, Hex would have never dodged those attacks lightly. He had either lost a leg or any notable body parts.

Not to mention how many he had taken down at the same time. His stats and powers were also outstanding for his age.

After all he was just seventeen.

"What? I thought your species was evolved?"

Hex was quite repulsed by the distancing and quivering in the hearts of the surviving Earth dwellers.

Their legs could be clearly seen shaking like leafs as they took faltering steps back.

'No wonder I didn't level up since! This is their worth i am seeing here.'

"You are quite strong human!"

Hex locked his gaze on the Master Earth dweller. For some reason he found his jaws slack open.

'What the hell is this fool spouting, is he trying to sound cool and powerful?'

Hex straightened his expression, "I can clearly see you shaking!"

Hex observed the Master Earth dweller once more.

The exterior of it's skin was distinct from the normal ones, it seemed like armour of some sort.....

Hex charged incredibly fast. With his strength he meets the first Earth Dweller smashing a kick into it's face.

This attack beheads it completely sending blood and chunks of flesh coating the floor.

The remaining Earth dwellers turned their tails in glorious attempts to flee the attacker.

Regrettably, their retreat was no match for Hex's offence.

In a matter of seconds Hex tore apart the remaining Earth dwellers.

Beheading some with his bare hands and others kicking their heads to puddles of blood.

By the time he came to a stop all that remained standing was Hex and the Master Earth dweller.

The corpses of the headless Earth dwellers meeting with the ground.

{Leveled up}

'At least one good thing came from killing those good-for-nothings!'

Name: Hex Minant Sung

{Stats}

Cursed Mana: 1250

A frown mustered itself on Hex's face. He was displeased of the displayed attributes.

His strength barely crawled and inch, the rest of his attributes grew too, but unfortunately it wasn't satisfying.

'After all my stress, killing those hoards of bastard I only went up one level..... What a trashy race!'

Hex snorted, the only good in this was the tendency of reaching level 60 after killing the Master.

There was a rare reward for every tenth level reached. And for this he couldn't wait.

"You bastard!"

The Master Earth dweller sent several of it's tentacle like arms at Hex randomly.

'Thank God Phantom can interpret all the words Cursed ones say! If not I wouldn't be pissed about this guy insulting me.....'

"Shit?" Hex grumbled following the movements of every tentacle with his eyes.

They were moving rapidly twisting and turning randomly through the air.

Even with how strong and experienced Hex was, it became hard to follow the unpredictable motions of the attacks.

{Detected poison!}

{User should avoid all hits}

Hex swallowed hard on his saliva. Now he would be forced to evade all attacks.

'If I can't touch him, how do I kill him?'
