Hex began to marvel at the fibers of his childlike skin.
'This is remarkable, a second chance in life and back when I was a kid! Shit life is fun!'
Hex was still captivated by his younger self.
'This time I will be able to...?'
Hex paused his musings there; in his previous existence, he was a coward who worked his way up with a susceptible power.
If he reincarnated in this form this wouldn't make one difference.
'Shit! Don't tell me I will be useless in this life too!'
Hex's expression turned melancholy as he pictured another horrible struggle with the mighty dragon.
This time, he would have more than just his head devoured.
"Man, what do I do with such a weak state?"

Name: Hex Minant
Age: 8
Title: None
Hex watched the purple hologram project before him, for a while he was unnerved but soon enough he came to order with it.
His age was eight, so this was 15 years ago, quite a leap. Before Hex's introspections became too overwhelming, his gaze returned to the hologram to read the remaining contents.

'Damn, I am also screwed in this life! So much for reincarnation! I better start prepping this head to get popped off once more.'
Hex folded his arms puffing his cheek and huffing out the air from his lungs. He believed this was his way of reducing stress.
'Come to think of it death isn't that bad, hurts for the first few seconds then you're just shaking like a fish out in the air.'
Just as he was consoling himself for being a dragon's meal, another holographic projection appeared before him.
{Phantom processing}
'What could that mean?'
{Character upgrade}
Hex's eyes glittered at the idea. He wasn't too sure what the Phantom was but what got his head pompous was the word 'upgrade'.
{Cursed Abilities selection; abilities suitable to body}
A. Speed
B. Smoke
C. Imagination
D. Stars
E. Bend reality
F. Fuck off
Hex was thrown aback by the last option but shook off the feeling almost immediately. All these abilities were too tempting to overlook.
The power of speed would allow him to move quickly, avoiding any and all forms of assault; this was superior to his previous ability. However, speed was not without drawbacks.
If he could move quickly, it did not imply that his mind was as quick.
He may be tripped and sent rolling for a considerable distance before colliding with a wall or sturdy surface. Too much of a risk to take.
Smoke looked like a pointless power to reincarnate with, a non-combatant power.
'This is just right for me!'
No guy in his right mind would ever choose this, but a coward like him would seize the perfect chance.
Hex imagined the dragon trying to bite off his head and him turning to smoke.
'Hehehehe! I can almost imagine it's confused look!' A smile peeled across Hex's face.
He returned to the Phantom Notification, unsure of where to begin. 'How do I pick the option B....'
Fuggghk!
Another strange notice appeared before Hex.
{Ability and effects}
*Speed: d*ck will never erect.
*Smoke: hair will fall off permanently.
*Imagination: blind and shy.
*Stars: Dumb and eats a lot.
*Bend reality: Hunch back, drools, and has a huge d*ck.
*Fuck off: hated by every girl, ability to control luck.
"Fuck the hell! What kind of rotten luck is this?" Hex yelled out in the open disgusted by what he saw.
He had to choose one out of all these horrible options! What kind of cruel fool developed a merciless phantom or whatever it was?
Hex straightened himself up, he needed to make a choice that would affect his life for the better.
Now he has to select what would have the desired influence on his life.
Hex threw a puzzled look processing his choices. He had already said no to speed, and now he was shouting, "Perish, you vile scoundrel!" To hell with dying a virgin!'
Smoke should have been the finest, but going bald for power? Was he insane? In his previous existence, he possessed good looks and could persuade others to do his bidding.
Having a bald skull would destroy his main cheat skill.
With a heavy heart, Hex overlooked his craving and to the next ability.
After a long period of scanning, Hex made up his mind.
{Ability of the Stars chosen}
{Effects dumb and eats a lot}
A dumb and food-obsessed genius is far more deserved than being disabled in any manner.
Following this, the holographic notification vanished, leaving Hex confused.
Booooom!.
There was a huge rumble that shook the entire earth, throwing Hex back into the light.
The startling quake came from an object he knew not the origins.
'Damn! What the hell is that?'
Hex instantly climbed to his feet, looking about for the source of the disturbance, but nothing checked out.
'I won't be able to know where it came from, am I stupid, this is an earthquake it can be coming from anywhere!'
Hex began to reflect about his past existence. If this was the past there was a fat chance everything would replay the way they did back then, unless he uttered it.
Yes, it was all coming back to him. Hex was an orphan, he got adopted. If he wasn't mistaken that was two weeks ago.
Just when Hex went to live with his adopted mother the orphanage was attacked and most of the children were devoured.
During this time, Hex was with his foster mother, who turned out to be a wealthy and important woman.
She took him to her home in Brandwood dorm where they got to bond a little.
(Dorms: Outwood, Innerwood, Brandwood, royal wood)
After receiving the information that the orphanage had been demolished, she returned with Hex so he could say his final farewell to his deceased pals before permanently relocating to Brandwood dorm.
'To think I agreed to that! How gullible was I?'
So that was why Hex was here at the graveyard to tell his dead buddies a farewell.
Hex searched his brain, trying to recollect the cause of the earthquake, which had slipped his mind. 'Shit, why can't I remember my past easily?'
{Side effect: Dumb memory}
As this notice appeared, Hex cursed it with every molecule of his being. So early, yet the side effects were already taking a devastating toll on him.
BOOOOOM!
There it was another raging earthquake with an addition this time.
Crack!
Hex's eyes widened in disbelief. A long distance from the graveyard where he found himself.
Beyond the hundred houses of Outwood there was a black dome-like barrier that shielded them from the Cursed ones, which shattered like glass and plummeted to the earth one after the other.
In a matter of seconds, the whole barrier that had shielded them was reduced to rubble, and what happened next sent shivers up the spines of everyone who witnessed it.
Thousands of Cursed ones poured past the place where the barrier was supposed to be and into the villages of the Outwood dorm.
More terrible were the dozens of dragons in the skies, who spent no time dumping down their sun-burning saliva on the settlements. Causing hundreds of ear-piercing shrieks to rise.
"Heok!"
Hex swallowed hard on his saliva, recalling the day he was reborn. For some reason, he woke up at the worst time yet, the day that sealed his fate.
'This was the day of the largest breach! The day I lost everything I loved!'
Hex dropped his sight to the floor, his hand clenched hard.
'This was the day I lost my mother!'
