Quinlan entered the forest with a hint of trepidation. He was careful not to alert other beasts that could be lurking within the dark forest. Killing his breath, he walked onward. Each step was as quiet as possible, as he maintained his stealth.
{... What are you doing?}
But soon after he walked on like that, the Azure Dragon Spear decided to finally comment on what he was doing.
{Are you trying to hide? Then it's useless, you know? The beasts more powerful than you had already detected your presence as soon as you stepped inside this forest.}
"..."
Quinlan glanced at the spear and sighed. He stood up properly and walked normally. If what she said was true, then it'd be pointless to hide now. Running away would be futile too. If they really were more powerful than he was, then they could catch him easily.
A minute later, he found that nothing had changed. There's still no obvious presence in his immediate surroundings.
