Chapter 16 - Her Wish Upon A Star (pt.2)

Rowena's surroundings were bathed in a radiant starlight, almost blinding in its intensity. As the ethereal energy solidified, a shimmering presence appeared before her. The girl was cloaked in a glowing aura, moving with grace and purpose. Behind the bright light, Rowena could see faint outlines of a delicate face and flowing hair, but it was difficult to make out the details.

The starlight transformed Rowena's surroundings, filling the air with a soft ethereal glow. The energy solidified, it took on the form of a shimmering, feminine figure, glowing with a radiant and otherworldly aura. Though her features were obscured by the bright light, Rowena could sense the ancient magic emanating from her.

The celestial girl's voice was like music, echoing softly and gentle as a breeze. "Rowena, I am here to help you. Trust in me." As her hands moved gracefully, a symphony of tinkling bells could be heard, accompanied by the sound of wind chimes in the distance.

In an instant, the world around them shifted, and the once distant town materialized before Rowena's eyes. The celestial girl, with a graceful motion, raised her hands, and a brilliant light emanated from her fingertips. The light expanded, cascading in waves that washed over the town, dispelling the encroaching darkness.

As the radiance faded, the town revealed itself in the soft glow of starlight. Buildings stood intact, and the ominous corruption that had threatened the townspeople had dissipated. Rowena, still in awe of the celestial girl's powers, turned to thank her.

"Thank you for saving our town. I don't know who you are, but your help means everything to me!" Rowena expressed her gratitude.

The celestial girl smiled gently. The light Slowly dissipated from the girls body and revealed a woman with long wavy red hair and striking blue eyes that shone with kindness and strength. Freckles adorned her face as if a fairy had come and blessed her with kisses all over. Her long lashes fluttered as she breathed in the fresh air that was now free from all corruption. The gown that hung gracefully on her body portrayed great wealth. "I am Cersie, and it is my duty as a pr-. Sorry I meant to say, it is my duty to protect and assist those in need." Cersie smiled at her. "I have been watching over you, Rowena, For a long, long time... I sensed your desperate plea."

Rowena, though grateful, couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion. "Cersie, thank you, but how did you know I needed help? And why were you watching over me?"

Cersie's gaze held a mixture of sympathy and understanding. "Our fates are intertwined, Rowena. In our world, there are threads that connect us all. I watched over you from afar, and when your plea reached me, I came to lend my aid as I was supposed to..."

Rowena, still grappling with these revelations, extended her gratitude once more. "Thank you, Cersie. Although I don't understand why and I don't know how to repay you, I am eternally grateful that you saved my home."

Cersie blushed slightly. "There- There is no need for repayment, Rowena. Our paths were meant to cross for a reason, and now, it is my duty to assist and help you in the future challenges that lie ahead."

As the two girls stood beneath the starlit sky, the invisible bond between them wrapped around them, tighter than ever. The curse that had brought them together had only just begun to change their fates...
