The words came from the man who was supposed to be still fast asleep but it turned out he had woken up at some point while Xiang Ling was busy focusing on Xin Cheng.
She opened her mouth to speak but no word came out as she was left slightly stunned by Dao Ming's anger filled eyes that were staring right into her very soul.
"Why did you follow us?" The man demanded while staring at her with a sharpness in his eyes that she had never seen before.
"I... I just wanted to know what you two were up to when I saw you sneaking out of the manor..."
"And why was that?"
"Huh?" Xiang Ling wasn't really as confused as she sounded. She was just not prepared to face this side of Dao Ming. It was almost like these two men's personalities had swapped. While Dao Ming didn't hide his anger toward her, Xin Cheng sat there in complete silence.
