Chapter 52 - Chapter 52

Harrison tried to redeem himself. While his legs are suffering due to the sudden imbalance of his body, he exerted energy with his hand on a single wooden chair to lift himself. The muscles flexed like a balloon filled with helium gas. Just like a bloated balloon, he popped down after trying hard.

Gasping and sighing, sweat falling on the floor. What does this man do, muscled but miserably weak to recover himself from intimidation? The time is ticking, he must move faster—or else he may be embarrassed in front of the board of directors, wouldn't he?

"Oh, merciful God! Please give me the energy to raise myself. I'm begging you, don't punish me this time. Let me arrive as fast as the speed of sound to the conference room. Oh please, please!" he cited a favor to give him a chance to renew.

Just a few seconds passed, and he heard some footsteps approaching his room. He is certain that that would be his maid, his breakfast might be being delivered today.

He deeply breathed—he gained hope from his assumptions. His mind told him that God had heard his prayers, and his maid would assist him to stand up.

The door knob rotated then someone pushed the door forward. Harrison was right, his maid just brought him food.

"What happened to you, boss?" the maid showed concern to him when she witnessed how he suffered trying to stand up, he was approached immediately—she grabbed his armpits while his feet were trying to lift them.

Harrison caught his breath while being served food on the dining table. Even if he hasn't taken a solid, he heavily drank the orange juice. After the joy of taking the sweetness of the liquid, his stomach heated like a flame.

"Damn! Not this time—" He rushed to the toilet while feeling the excruciating stomachache.

An hour later...

Finally, his misfortune has ended. With so many sudden aches and interruptions in the early morning, it seemed that the good fate was not in favor of him. He is so very lucky, his maid is always there to take care of him. Just after he took medicine, his tummy felt better and he is more comfortable and energized today.

While driving, the music on the car's radio makes his head bang—something like he is not going to face a major problem in front of the board of directors. Due to over-enjoyment, he realized later that he was totally late.

He speeds up the car until he approaches the nearest distance of the building of Fuentabella Company. "I don't want to be embarrassed in front of them. Oh god, it's killing me from this nervousness. I hope the board of directors is still not complete this time."

"I'm on my way, I'm coming!" he panicky uttered when he was one kilometer distant from the destination.

After a glance, he heard a big impact on the front glass of the car. The bloody black cat freaked him out when it appeared in front of his sight.

"Arrrgghhh! Disgusting!" he suddenly got out of the car and then immediately locked it, his legs moved like a horse rushing onto the entrance of the building.

The people's eyes are such balloons that are soon to pop. Harrison is being starred by everyone inside the building, they are wondering about the sense of rush of him.

"Why does the boss look like he saw a ghost?" the approaching group of staff murmured.

"He is gasping, what is wrong with him?" the other ones added.

The co-founder of Fuentabella Company checked his wristwatch. The Board of Directors has consumed 200mL of bottled mineral water. Some are playing mobile games on their phones.

Harrison exactly heard the gossip of the employees. He sharpened his looks on them and tried to intimidate them. He was supposed to scold them due to the bad attitude offered to him, but he was running out of time—he really needed to maximize his time.

While marching, someone approached him. "Boss, can you check this work of—"

"Just leave it to my office, o–" he interrupted then unexpectedly his stomach boiled.

"Shit! Goddammit! Not now!" he cursed in the air.

The faith is somewhat playing his day. It feels like it doesn't want him to accomplish anything today. He tried to redeem himself but the luck was not giving him the favor. Is he being punished with bad karma?

On the other hand, the co-founder cannot wait for more to start the conference meeting. It's been an hour since the queue, and they are wondering why Harrison took him so long.

He cleared his throat until he saw the awkward looks of the Board of Directors. He is low-key embarrassed by what he just did.

"Let me excuse myself for a while. I will just approach my nephew. I have a gut feeling that something bad is happening to him which causes his tardiness."

He exited immediately; he gasped and deeply sighed when he finally distanced the conference room.

"Please... Answer my call, Harrison." He attempted to contact the CEO for the nth time.

Harrison heard his phone ring. He is still stacked inside the cubicle. The excruciating stomach pain is killing him. Somehow, he is lucky that he didn't set the phone in Silent Mode and even not Vibration Mode—or else his phone would just slip and then drop on the bowl.

He reached for his Apple in his pants pocket and then deeply sighed. "I'm sorry for being tardy. My stomach sucks, I'm still here inside the cubicle donating something."

"Watch your mouth, Harrison. Please act like a boss! Don't show your disgusting behavior. We have been waiting for centuries, why are you so irresponsible!" he just received a smoky and insulting sermon.

He cannot bear the bad remarks, he cares to hang up and then focus on his crisis.

The co-founder raised his right eyebrow. "Did he just hang up the call? How disrespectful!"

Harrison is not yet done with his business. How unlucky of him, he didn't bring any medicine in his pocket. The CEO's room is way too far, and the conference room is farther.

The entire cubicle is echoing the bursting lava of the volcano. It's the embarrassing sound that it's out of his control. He looked around the corner and determined if he was alone in this place or not. He covered his face with bare hands because of the unexpected, unforgettable, disgusting shitty moment.

"Damn! Why is this happening to me! Arrrgghhh!" he growled loudly like a wild white wolf.

Someone heard his shameless shouts that were audible outside the door of the restroom. They recognized the voice and then chuckled. They were not expecting that their boss would act like that.

His brows met. "My goodness, this cannot be. My employees have been laughing at me since then—I should get outta here..."

He took a deep breath to release his final waste. Unluckily, the shit just scattered on the bowl's wall, and the sticky, slimy, soil-like shit just randomly sticks on his upper legs and genitalia.

"Oh dear, oh dear! What the—" His hands quickly clicked the bidet button to cleanse his butt.

After a glance, he successfully managed his crisis. He immediately went out of the cubicle and then opened the door to leave the place for good.

"Boss, I think you need this." Armando surprised him in front of the door holding with a bottled mineral water and a tablet for diarrhea.

Harrison cleared his throat and then swallowed his saliva thrice. "Are you stalking me?"

"No boss, I just heard from my co-employees that you are having an emergency. They told me that they heard you shouting in pain," he replied to him which made him smirk and roll his eyes.

'I hope the employees didn't tell him that my shit brooms like an engine.'

"Boss, are you uttering something? Are you okay?" he noticed that he was having intrusive thoughts.

He pretended like he was not worried about anything. "Can I have this medicine now?"

(Took the medicine)

"T-Thank you for this, Armando. Shall we go now to the conference room?"

His secretary nodded and then walked with him approaching the elevator.

After an hour of waiting by the higher officials of the company inside the conference room for CEO Harrison Fuentabella to come, they saw him take a grand entrance in front.

"Good morning everyone. My apologies for my tardiness, I just experienced such an emergency," he started the conversation.

The co-founder stood up and then pulled him outside the door. "What's wrong with you, Harrison‽ Don't act unprofessionally, you are facing the Board of Directors! If you misbehave again, I will report your deeds to your parents!"

Harrison explained himself with a less audible voice. "To be honest, I really don't know what's happening to me. Last night, I was haunted by—"

"Enough with this nonsense!" the co-founder interrupted him, "I don't need your fucking explanation!"

His index finger pointed at him. "This is my last warning, Harrison. Now off you go! Don't let me down, I am telling you." He went back to his room then gazed at him with killer eyes.

Harrison patted his right hand on his forehead in disgust. The warnings of the co-founder repeatedly echoed in his head.

What's wrong with you, Harrison‽ Don't act unprofessionally, you are facing the Board of Directors! If you misbehave again, I will report your deeds to your parents!"
