The radiance of the sun emerged from the horizon, preceding its honorable arrival.
"That's it for today," Ossa said to the Shadow Wolves, who could barely stand, their bodies heavy from fatigue.
The immortal skeleton, unaffected by fatigue, with his infinite stamina, had hunted with the mortal Shadow Wolves all night, pursuing demonic creatures.
Throughout the night, they had hunted wolf rats, blood worms, and the mimic hyenas.
The wolf rats were the easiest prey, but the blood worms and mimic hyenas presented greater challenges.
Many of them nearly crossed the River Styx, but Ossa was there to pull them out every time.
The blood worms were as large as snakes, with hydrostatic skeletons shining bright red. True to their name, they fed on blood and used it as a weapon.
When threatened they spray out blood from jagged mouth, blinding their foes before bitting into them with mouth full of fangs which are circularly aligned in their mouths.
