Damon was a tad tired from completing the [Pinana Village] storyline before journeying into the tower.
But he was not so tired that his head would spin and he would feel dizzy.
It had to be something else.
Something that was beyond him.
Something he could neither control nor figure out.
But in reality, Damon was not dizzy neither was he feeling weak.
The room was, in fact, spinning.
It spun subtly but a keen sense of observation would be of great help in noticing such quiet motion.
"Welcome," a voice said again. It was the deep voice from earlier.
"...to the 1st floor of the tower," another voice added.
This time, the second speaker had a different voice with a much more feminine tone to it.
Between the contrasting dark and bright hues of the high-reaching space, Damon noticed a figure that moved between them before finally appearing right in front of him.
She stood so close to him that he could feel her warm breath on his hair.
His nose and mouth nearly sank into her luxuriously big breasts.
Damon blinked a few times and his mind went blank for seconds, having been taken unawares by her presence.
He stood still with his face now shoved into her cleavage.
He blinked again, this time reflexively before realising himself.
Damon glanced up, his gaze sluggish as it travelled from her buxomly chest up to her face.
This person was a woman, and a beautiful one at that.
She was taller than the average woman should be, standing at a height of about 6 feet and 2 inches.
She was a blonde with long hair that slightly extended past the level of her bosoms.
Her face was tender with narrow slits of eyes.
She was overall attractive but the shock from the unusual situation that Damon found himself in did not allow him to take in and process her physical attributes.
He merely gave her a hurried blank gaze before jumping away from her bosoms that bounced in front of him.
Damon coughed.
He was nervous and his face shone red from embarrassment.
It was not his fault. It was only his masculine nature failing him.
Damon had never been that close to a woman's breast before now.
However, that was not his problem at the moment.
Something was off and he knew it.
He had heard two voices with different tones.
Then why was he seeing just one person?
Their voices were interwoven but he could still make a clear distinction of the voices he heard.
A male and a female had welcomed him.
"Hello… Spectre."
Damon was shocked once again.
She knew his name.
How?
They had not done any form of introductions.
How did she know his name?
'Who the hell is she?' Damon wondered.
One thing was certain as a new day, and that was the fact that the feminine figure standing in front of him was not an ordinary person.
Damon became wary and moved his forearm slightly away from him to the side.
This was for him to gain a better grip of the enarmes of his shield.
"I am Naaray."
"Do you wish to proceed with the quest of the 1st floor?" she asked.
'Is she a non-playable character (NPC)?' Damon wondered, drowning in the sea of uncertainties.
'She does not talk or behave like one.'
Damon was used to the NPCs he knew in the real world where he lived.
They were characters that are not controlled by the player and unlike the NPCs he was familiar with, Naaray was not making any repetitive speeches or actions and this left Damon confused.
"She is sentient."
Damon nodded his head to her question, making up his mind to progress in the tower.
Ding!
[You have accepted the Floor Guardians' challenge]
Ding!
[The Manual Series has commenced]
"Floor Guardian?"
Damon's eyes widened briefly.
The words 'Floor Guardian' sounded like a big deal and to meet one so earlier in the tower didn't feel right.
He started having doubts about the choice he had just made.
"She's a floor guardian," he muttered under his subtly shaking breath.
Before Damon's doubtful eyes lay what he already assumed to be one of the worst things he was not ready to experience as a greenhorn in Nexus — a Floor Guardian.
And Naaray was one of them.
