"Tia, would you like to go back to China with mom?"
Zhong Yan had asked her daughter many times if she wanted to go back to China, but every time, Mo Yunru refused. She didn't want to go back to China. But today, her answer surprised Zhong Yan.
"Okay." She agreed.
A month passed, and Zhong Yan made every preparation to shift to China while Mo Yunru was hanging out with her friends for the last time. Today was the day they would be shifting to China.
"Do you want to say goodbye to your friends? "Zhong Yan asked her daughter.
Mo Yunru stared at her mother and smiled. "It's okay; I've already said goodbye to them."
"Alright." Zhong Yan wrapped her arm around Mo Yunru's shoulders and entered the airport to board their flight.
…
By the time they arrived at the capital, it was already 6 p.m.
Mo Yunru was wearing a pink top, a cardigan, blue jeans, and a pair of cute pink sneakers. She was also carrying a girlish, cute white backpack on her shoulder, with a stuffed pink bunny hanging on one side.
Mo Yunru and her mother just landed on the plane, and then her phone started ringing.
"Who is it?" Zhong Yan asked who was calling her.
"Oh, it's Scarlett. I'll answer it."
"Tia, did you arrive safely? How was your trip? I've been dying to hear all about it! Did you have a smooth flight? Tell me, did you have any exciting adventures along the way? Spill the details! "Her friend on the other end of the line questioned or bombarded her endlessly.
She just laughed as Scarlett interrogated her. "Nothing interesting happened."
As they were making their way to the baggage claim, she was still on her phone and not paying attention to where she was going. She was walking while looking inside her little backpack, making sure that everything was there.
At some distance away from her, in the opposite direction, a boy around 16 or 17 years old was stepping faster towards the terminus she just came from.
"Mom, where are you? "He asked, looking around while still walking.
The boy was around 16 or 17 years old, and he was wearing gold-rimmed glasses that highlighted his sharp and intelligent-looking face. His outfit was casual, wearing a gray hoodie and black pants. While he wasn't wearing anything particularly eye-catching, his good looks made him stand out.
At some distance, the handsome boy was heading in their direction.
She could feel her phone falling through her fingers and hitting the floor, but luckily it didn't break.
The both of them didn't see each other, causing them to stumble a little.
Because of the sudden collision, she had been rendered confused. Their eyes met. The boy was around 5'7, and she was around his chin.
When the boy looked at Yunru's face, he froze on the spot, and his irritation slowly dissipated.
His sight took a quick glimpse of her face, her eyes in a deep shade of green, like the deep leafy forest, her fair snow-like skin, her rosy pink lips, and finally, the pointed nose and those furrowed lines on her forehead that clearly showed that she would burst in anger in any second.
She quickly looked up. She saw that it was a man who seemed to be on his phone as well, and her anger dissipated when she realized that she had been so focused on her backpack that she had forgotten to look where she was going.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry." She apologized.
Yunru was embarrassed and apologetic as she walked towards the baggage claim after colliding with the man. She nodded her head to him, trying to make amends for her carelessness. She was feeling a bit embarrassed, and she didn't know what to say. But she wanted to make it up to the man as best she could.
"Yu'er, are you okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, I just bumped into someone," she replied nonchalantly.
"Then did you apologize?"
She hummed.
As they walked, she was still on her phone, and her friend was still on the other end. She was trying to focus on what her friend was saying, but she couldn't help but think about her interaction with the handsome stranger.
"Did you bump into someone? "Her friend on the other side asked.
"Yeah," she replied in a low voice, feeling embarrassed.
"Was it a boy? "Scarlett asked again.
"Uh-huh," she hummed.
"Oh my god, was he handsome? "She asked excitedly.
She thought about his appearance again. "Yeah."
"I'll call you when I get home, scar, okay?" she said as she hung up.
...
Zhong Yan brought Yunru to the Jingyue villa. She had purchased this villa a month ago when she asked her daughter about what kind of place she would like to live in. Yunru's thinking was clear; she told her mother that she wanted a big house.
The mansion was luxurious. On the first floor, it had a living room, a spacious dining area, an ultra-modular kitchen with a separate pantry room, and a basement.
On the second floor, it had eight master bedrooms and a guest room. And on the third floor was Ruolan's room.
The villa's butler was named Jing Yuo. He was very excited to receive Miss Zhong Yan in her new house in China. He was a trusted man who used to work under her and was now very happy being the butler of her house. When he saw Zhong Yan entering the house with a young girl, he was stunned.
"Mr. Jing you, thank you for your hard work all these years," Zhong Yan said with a sincere smile. She turned to look at her daughter and added, "Yu'er, this is Uncle Yuo. Greet him. He handles my work in China. Uncle Yuo has been with me since the death of your grandfather. He had cared for me like a daughter."
Mo Yunru looked at the kind old man and bowed in respect. "Hello, grandpa yuo, I'm Yunru. Please take care of me."
Butler Yuo laughed with tears rolling down his cheeks. It was all worth it. He rubbed Ruolan's head like a proud grandfather.
Zhong Yan shook her head while smiling.
"Grandpa Yuo will take care of both Madam and Young Miss," he announced, stroking his beard. Later, he gave them a tour of the entire house.
While Yunru was getting acquainted with the staff of the new house, Zhong Yan briefed Butler You on Yunru's health.
On the first floor, there was a long corridor in front of the staircase dividing the rooms. At the end of the corridor, there was a glass door that opened into a quiet, big balcony that was converted into a mini garden, with different types of beautiful decorative plants and a wooden coffee table in the center.
And in the third room were several rooms; there are only two rooms with a different door color. The purple one was for Ruolan, and the brown one was empty.
As they reached upstairs and were done knowing their rooms, Grandpa Yuo said, "Miss, if you need anything, just call me."
Yunru nodded.
"This poor child. Why must she suffer so much? "Butler You looked at the sky and said. He looked at the fragile-looking girl talking sweetly to the maids and felt bad for her.
When Mo Yunru entered the room, she saw that the interior of the room was according to her taste.
Yunru liked everything, and the things in the room were also the things she needed. Since her last life, she has always preferred light colors. The walls were decorated in beige, with a few big, random color patches in a few places. The furniture had different colors laminated with the outline of the beige one. The curtains, bed sheet, and pillow were white.
There were study tables, book shelves, and a computer set up.
In the center of the room, there was a queen-sized bed attached to the wall behind it, with a bedside table with two drawers. The wardrobe was filled with her favorite brands of dresses, gowns, bags, accessories, cosmetics, footwear, and others, but what surprised her the most was that the other side of the wardrobe was filled only with her favorite type of clothing, and that was different types of jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers that her mother didn't like her to wear that much. Mo Yunru finally got to her room on the third floor.
She put the luggage and the cat cage on the ground.
She opened the cat cage, and a cat slowly got out. The cat was a Birman breed. The cat had a beautiful white fur that looked soft and fluffy, like a snowy cloud. Its face was a light brown, which contrasted with the white of its fur, making it look even more lovely.
"Come here, snow." She called the cat named Snow; it slowly approached her as it purred affectionately.
She was delighted to see the cat and gently picked it up, stroking its soft fur and playing with its paw.
She giggled. "What a good girl," she said, petting the cat.
Mo Yunru fell asleep beside the cat on her bed. She was feeling a bit tired after the long trip.
