Chapter 25 - The Unusual Welcome

As they embarked on their journey to S.T.A.R., Richard and his trio, accompanied by his father and Mr. Izawa, settled into the luxurious confines of the limousine. The sleek vehicle glided through the city streets, an embodiment of both elegance and cutting-edge technology. It was a space where the everyday world met the extraordinary, and anticipation filled the air as they neared their destination.

Finally arriving directly in front of S.T.A.R., Richard opened the door and stepped out, followed by his trio.

"Okay, Dad, we'll be off now," he said to Oliver before turning to leave.

"Alright, have fun now," Oliver replied with a small smile. "Oh, before I forget, Richard, would you like to move into the school's dorms, or do you still prefer staying at the mansion?"

Richard turned around to face his father. Inwardly, he realized that S.T.A.R. had dorms because students came from all over the world to be trained here. With a smile gracing his lips, he continued his thoughts, "Guess having the shared experience of waking up with a roommate can't be that bad. Also, I'll need to use the dorms as my cover. For the next part of my plan here, I'm going to be busy with far more than just learning and dungeon raids. So it's a definite yes."

Facing his father with a small smile on his lips, Richard raised his left hand and placed it on his neck. He tilted his head slightly as he said, "Yeah, I guess that would be fun."

Oliver didn't mention it, but seeing his son like this made him happy inside. A small smile graced his lips before he said, "Okay, don't worry. You can just head to class now. I'll have someone handle it." Oliver leaned back into the seats as the glass of the limousine rolled up then zoomed off.

Richard redirected his focus to the school building in front of him as he proceeded to walk inside, hands in his pockets.

Suddenly, Luella spoke up, hurrying her steps to walk at Richard's pace by his side. "Hey, young master, if you'll be moving into the school dorms, doesn't that mean Luna and I will be moving in too?"

Richard removed his right hand from his pocket, placing it under his chin as he gestured inquisitively. "I guess so, but..." A smile graced his lips as he added, "I don't think we'll be in the same room though."

His statement made Luella blush as she stuttered, "I... I... I never said anything about wanting to share a room with you."

Richard let out a small chuckle. "Damn, Luella, seeing you panic like that is always so priceless."

Luella then pouted, her lips forming a gentle, playful curve as she said, "Young master, don't tease me... please."

Finally standing directly in front of their classroom door, Richard seized the moment to make a dramatic entrance. With an assertive push, he flung the doors wide open. The room was already occupied by a teacher, a man with striking red eyes and a fair, bulky build. He was engrossed in his note-taking, a dedicated task.

The teacher turned his gaze to face Richard, his red eyes harboring a touch of enthusiasm. With a friendly demeanor, he spoke, "Oh! Richard, right? Well, looks like I won't have to write that name down," he remarked with a playful tap of his pen to his right cheek.

The man extended his pen to point at Luella, Luna, and Jarmin, who stood neatly behind Richard. His eyes held a glint of curiosity as he addressed them, his brow furrowing slightly. With an air of amusement, he inquired, "And the others behind you are... Um... What were their names again?" The pen in his hand tapped once more against his right cheek, a quirky habit that seemed to punctuate his words.

Internally, Richard recognized the quirky teacher as none other than Mr. Ronin, the ability trainer known for his unconventional approach. Though his demeanor bordered on the immature, Ronin was no slouch, holding the esteemed rank of an A-class esper. Richard couldn't help but sigh as he pondered, "An A-class with the memory of a goldfish."

"Ugh, guess I'll just have to give you new names then, since I can't remember what they were," Ronin declared, using one hand to clutch his book and the other to wield the pen, each motion punctuated by a light slap to his cheeks.

Richard's inner monologue continued with a touch of exasperation, "I thought you were here to learn our names, not rename us. You can't do that."
