Chapter 13 - Time To Cause Some Chaos In The Casino

The night was alive with a symphony of lights and laughter as Richard's sleek black limousine glided to a stop in front of the grand establishment known as "Sapphire Star Casino." The casino's exterior was proof of its opulence, with towering marble columns designed with glistening sapphire accents that caught the myriad lights of the city, casting a mesmerizing glow. A red carpet was unrolled from the limousine's door to the entrance, awaiting Richard's arrival.

The driver, impeccably dressed in a black suit and polished shoes, opened the limousine door with a courteous nod. "We have arrived, young master," he announced, his tone respectful yet neutral. Richard, sporting an enigmatic grin, stepped out first, Luna, Luella and Jarmin following suit. They were a quartet of elegance against the backdrop of the casino's glamorous façade.

Richard gave a laid-back wave as he stepped out, a response to the courteous gesture of the driver who had opened the limousine door. "Thank you," he casually expressed. Luna leaned in, her voice a hushed murmur to Luella, "Can you believe this place?" Luella's reply was just as subdued, "I know, right?"

"Ya, me too," Jarmin chimed in, his tone infused with excitement. "This is my first time at an actual casino." His eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and anticipation as he looked around the vibrant entrance of the casino.

The casino's entrance called, and Richard, exuding an air of confidence, led his trio past the shimmering entrance doors. They stepped onto the plush carpet that stretched before them, their footsteps muffled by the luxurious surface.

They walked amidst the elegant chaos of the casino floor. Slot machines chimed their playful tunes, and the clatter of chips and the rolling of dice painted a vivid picture of a night ripe with possibilities.

Observing the casino bustling with activity, the sound of laughter filling the air, Richard couldn't help but let out a grin. He thought, "Let the fun begin." The prospect of the evening ahead was clearly an exciting one for him.

Amidst the vibrant chaos of the casino floor, Richard's eyes darted from game to game. The slot machines glimmered with their promise of instant gratification, while roulette tables spun in a frenzy of colors. The dice at the craps table danced like wild spirits.

In the midst of this whirlwind, his mind wavered. Slots were too random, roulette too dependent on chance alone, and craps... well, he was yet to grasp how it actually worked. His mind raced, weighing the options. Then, like a beacon, the poker tables caught his attention.

"Could poker be the right choice?" he pondered, "A blend of strategy and psychology. A game where my ability can shine". But before he could commit, a face in the crowd froze him in his tracks. It was like a character ripped from his own novel, standing there in the flesh.

A shiver ran down his spine. "Coincidence, or something more?" His thoughts churned, his heart raced. "Wait... that green hair, those piecing blue eyes, that smug grin, that clover tattoo on her forehead, that elegant way she carries herself. Its definitely her!" A grin spread across his face. Thinking about it no more, he made his way to the poker table where this mysterious figure sat.

Seeing Richard's purposeful stride toward a poker table, Luna's curiosity got the better of her. She caught up to him, an amused smile on her lips. "Young master, where are you off to?"

Richard's lips curved into a smirk. "Oh, just to have some fun," he replied with a playful tone. "Feel free to tag along and watch the show. The more, the merrier!"

As Luna raised an eyebrow, intrigued yet slightly bemused, she exchanged a knowing look with Luella and Jarmin. It seemed like Richard had his own plans, and they were more than willing to be part of the adventure. With a shared glance, they followed him to the poker table, ready to witness the unfolding story, both in the game and beyond the cards.

Approaching the poker table, Richard's interest was piqued. The energy around the table was contagious, with chips clinking and people engaged in their game. As he was about to settle in, his eyes caught a woman who seemed oddly familiar, like a character straight out of his own novel.

He leaned in with a playful grin. "So what brings you here so late, miss?"

The woman's eyebrow arched in response, her lips curving into a smile. "Just came to have some fun, handsome. I haven't seen you on the news before. With that face, I'd believe it if someone told me you were a celebrity."

Before their conversation could deepen, Luna's voice cut through with a more serious tone. "Young master, did you actually come here just to flirt?"

He turned towards Luna, his grin fading into a more contemplative expression. "No, not really. Just thought I'd join in the game."

Luella's soft chuckle floated in the air, a proof of her familiarity with Richard's playful nature. With everyone settled around the poker table, the game began. Just as the first cards were dealt, Luna's voice interrupted, adding a touch of sincerity. "Flirting aside, are we really here for poker?"

Richard's eyes twinkled as he glanced between his companions and the table. "Well, poker and a bet, I'd say."

The table was set, bets placed, and the cards began to shuffle among the players. Richard's eyes shifted back to the woman he had exchanged words with earlier.

"Oh, miss," he addressed her, a playful glint in his eyes. "What do you say we make this game of poker a tad more interesting?"

The woman's lips curved into a confident smile. "And what do you propose, handsome?"

A mischievous grin tugged at Richard's lips. "Miss, if I manage to win five rounds of poker here, would you consider granting me a small favor?"

Her response was swift, her tone light. "I'd love to help a handsome face like yours. But what's in it for me if I win?"

With a nonchalant expression, Richard leaned in. "Well, I wouldn't mind returning the favor if the tables turn in your favor."

Her smile deepened, a glint of intrigue in her eyes. "Alright, handsome. Game on."

As the poker game proceeded, Richard's mind whirred into action. "Time to test out exactly what I'm capable of with my ability, activate, absolute calculation manipulation." His eyes started go glow slightly.
