Before entering the dungeon, the five intruders were gathered around a table in a tavern, discussing their plan of attack.
"Alright, we know the dungeon is infested with zombies, so we need to be careful. Gunner, you take the lead with your pistols. Assassin, you cover his back. Ice Mage, you freeze anything that gets in our way. Shielder, you protect the group from any attacks. And I'll take care of anything that gets too close." Said a guy carrying swords.
The swordsman, a tall and muscular man in his mid-twenties, wore black leather armor with silver accents. He had a short, spiky haircut and a rugged beard. He carried a longsword on his back and a smaller sword at his waist. His eyes were a piercing black, and he had a serious expression on his face.
"Sounds like a plan. But what about the dungeon core? It is our main priority, we need to find and secure it." Said a woman carrying daggers.
The assassin, a woman barely 25 years old, was dressed in dark clothing that blended into the shadows. She had long black hair pulled back in a ponytail, and her eyes were a bright green.
Her weapons of choice were two slender daggers, which she held with deadly precision. Her movements were quick and fluid, as if she were dancing rather than fighting.
"Don't worry, I'll try to sense its location with my magic." Said a woman carrying a staff.
The mage, a woman in her forties, wore long robes made of blue and white silk, adorned with intricate ice-themed embroidery. She had short grey hair and piercing blue eyes, and her skin was pale and smooth.
Her hands were adorned with rings that glinted in the dim light of the dungeon. Her specialty was ice magic, and she carried a staff made of clear crystal that seemed to shimmer with a faint blue light.
"I can't wait to see what the dungeon has in store for us." Said the man carrying pistols.
The gunner, a man in his late twenties, wore a brown leather jacket and trousers, with a white shirt and black boots. He had two small pistols holstered at his sides, each supported by a faint magical aura.
He had short, dark hair and brown eyes, and his face was rugged and angular. He had a confident and determined demeanor, as if he were ready for anything.
"Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We need to focus on getting in and out alive." Said a man carrying a huge shield.
The shielder or tanker, a hulking man in his mid-thirties, wore full plate armor that covered his entire body, except for his face. He carried a massive shield in one hand, which was large enough to cover his entire body, and a longsword in the other.
He had short brown hair and dark brown eyes, and his face was chiseled and stoic. He moved with a slow and deliberate grace.
"Agreed. Let's move out." Said the swordsman.
As the group gathered outside the entrance of the dungeon, they began to discuss their plan again.
The swordsman, whose name was Jax, spoke up first. "Alright everyone, let's review the plan one more time. We stick together and move cautiously. No one goes off on their own. We need to clear this dungeon and the count will reward us handsomely."
The assassin, known as Luna, nodded in agreement. "And remember, we're here for the dungeon core. We take it and get out, no unnecessary risks. If possible, avoid the boss zombie."
The gunner, named Kieran, chimed in. "I'll keep lead. Anyone tries to sneak up on us, they'll have to get through me and my pistols and I will wipe them out from a distance."
The mage, who went by the name of Elara, added, "And I'll be ready with my ice magic in case we need to freeze any enemies in their tracks."
The shielder, called Drog, raised his huge shield. "And I'll be in front with Kieran, leading the charge. Let's do this!"
With their plan set, they made their way into the dungeon, weapons at the ready. As they walked through the winding corridors, Luna couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. "This place gives me the creeps," she muttered.
Jax glanced back at her. "Just stay alert. We'll be out of here soon enough."
The assassin scoffed. "Zombies are nothing to me. I'll be in and out of here before you can blink."
Kieran, who was keeping an eye on the track, suddenly shouted, "We've got company!" The group turned left to see a horde of zombies coming at them.
Elara quickly conjured up a spell, sending shards of ice flying towards the zombies. Drog charged forward, using his shield to knock them out of the way. Jax and Luna worked together, using their swords and knives to take out the remaining zombies.
The horde was wiped out.
They were heading deeper into the dungeon.

He looked at the ghoul, who was happy for some reason. He seems to have sensed the presence of the intruders.
Montu quickly went out of the room and marched towards the entrance of the dungeon. Just after a few steps, a thought struck his mind.
'What if the people are stronger than me? I won't be able to win against them? I don't want to take unnecessary risks.'
He was in his thoughts, and he was thinking of a plan.
He turned back to see towards the room in which the ghoul was eating.
He thought of an idea.
He went back into the room as fast as possible, the ghoul wasn't even a little bit worried about the intruders.
Montu went near it and spoke, "There are intruders in the dungeon, we should do something about them."
But it didn't give any reply, but it did seem like the ghoul understood Montu's words.
'How do I convince this fool now? I have to think of something soon. I will die if they kill 82 more zombies.'
He was trying to think of something to trick the ghoul into helping him.
Montu understood why the ghoul isn't moving, as a boss monster, its job is to stay in the room and fight challengers who defeated all other zombies.
But he didn't have the leisure to wait for that. He had to do something quickly.
"Why don't we go out and kill the intruders with our own hands, and eat their meat fresh? It will be a lot more fun." Said Montu in hopes of convincing the ghoul.
The ghoul looked at Montu with curious eyes and got up from the ground. It began to walk towards the dungeon entrance with him.
