"Kid, I'm warning you. If you stay in my path, I'll be forced to hurt you," Killian said as he lunged forward at Violet with his hands opened to catch her. However, before he could close the distance, Nyx simply raised his hands, and a whooshing sound vibrated everywhere. Killian became alerted as he tried to figure out where this sound was coming from. His danger senses were heightened, but he couldn't tell the direction from which the attack was coming.
Whooosh!
"Arg!" Just then, Killian felt an intense pain from the back of his head, and blood started to gush down. Impaled to Killian's head was the double-bladed axe Nyx had been using to massacre ranks of little babies. Nyx had calculated this sneak attack ahead of time after learning about the axe's description, and Killian happened to be his first victim.
