A couple more minutes later, the bus left the city of Los Angeles, the same place the Elite Hero Academy was located, and now they were in the outskirts. The air around here became thicker, and one could see that even the sand beneath their feet was dyed blood red.
Nyx and all the students stepped out, and they could feel their feet sinking into the soil. Looking into the distance, they saw a structure.
A colossal wall that dwarfed the great walls of China stretched into the sky, looming at the trajectory of their gaze. The wall was very thick, to the point where three heavy trucks could move unobstructed.
There were a few empty carcasses of what Nyx presumed used to be beasts littered on the ground; the Hero bureau didn't clean these carcasses and simply left them as their trophy.
Although most people didn't know, one of the reasons for these carcasses was to scare monsters from approaching.
