"What do you want to talk about?" Apollo asked as he sat down on his own bunk bed. The black-haired boy was feeling a bit nervous as he held the red-haired boy's gaze.
"Can you keep what you saw a secret? It could be our secret," Nyx said in a serious tone. Although Nyx was confident in Apollo keeping what he saw a secret, he still wanted to make sure that Apollo would keep his mouth shut.
The reason he included the last sentence of his dialogue was also a tactic to give Apollo the false feeling of strengthening their friendship bond. Sharing a secret with someone was one of the ways to strengthen a bond, and this strategy had worked perfectly well for Apollo.
'He said it's our secret huh? Does he have this much trust in me?' Apollo thought with a light smile as he said, "Yes, I promise to keep it a secret."
After leaving the room to go to the training grounds, Apollo met a crowd of students in front of his doors. Just seeing them already was giving Apollo a headache because he already knew the reason they were here.
"Is it true that Nyx is a Hero?"
"So that block-faced Marcus had been conniving with the villains all this while?"
"Where is Nyx? We want to thank him. I even brought food for him. He must be hungry after spending two days in prison."
"We want to thank our Hero!"
It was a hassle and took almost 30 minutes for Apollo to get away from the crowd of students.
Meanwhile, back inside the room, Nyx double-tapped his chest twice and a black cloak materialized above his school uniform. This was the cloak Nyx had stolen from Ikor.
....
Super item: [Enchanted Cloak]
Description: [A D-ranked invisible cloak that grants the wearer +10 to Attack and Defense Power. Can also deflect any offensive ability for a minute when activated]
Cooldown: [3 hours]
...
Since the cloak possessed the invisibility effect, Nyx decided to put it on. That way he wouldn't be carrying the wooden box around, which was very risky because if someone saw him with the box, they could easily put two and two together and discover that he was the one who stole the enchanted cloak from Ikor.
'Talking about Ikor, did he hide the fact that he'd lost the cloak? Since I haven't heard any rumors, that must be the case,' Nyx mused with a thoughtful expression as he decided to check his status screen.

Nyx nodded in satisfaction when he saw his status and his health that have returned to normal. The red-haired boy inwardly vowed to not let his health hit zero again because he didn't want to be left in a vulnerable condition again.
Looking at his status, Nyx noticed the increase in Infamy points which was the result of the killing he did. For each kill he had received 5 infamy points, bringing his Total Infamy points to 55. He also accumulated 10 experience points for each kill, bringing his total to… [75/200]
'It would have been good if I could also get experience points more quickly. That way, I could level up faster and explore this system more.'
'If I start killing students, it wouldn't be good as that could make the academy heighten its security. Right now, with the villain black market shop still locked, Infamy points would be pretty useless but either way…'
In the future, Nyx planned on finding a way to increase his experience points faster but in the meantime, he decided to check the rewards for his quest.
With anticipation, he thought about the reward and a box that was similar to ones used to put presents materialized before him.
'I wonder what I'll get.' Like a child who just received a Christmas present, Nyx tore the box slowly, his heart beating erratically. He inwardly hoped it was a super item like the [Dark Entrapment Amulet] or maybe a skill. An ability would have been better though because then he wouldn't have to depend solely on his martial arts to come out on top in a fight.
'Whatever, I'll accept anything.' Nyx thought when he finally unraveled the box and what he saw left him speechless.
'A fucking key?'
Yup, Inside the big box, there was only a single key that wasn't even in good condition as there was rust around it. It looked like something from ancient times. Looking at the key, Nyx was beyond annoyed. He couldn't believe he jeopardized his entire future for a worthless key?
In the end, he could only throw the key and the Dark Entrapment Amulet inside his luggage bag that belonged to the owner of this body and pushed it under the bed after carefully unzipping it. Since the inventory was still locked, this was the only way for him to store items.
Risky but it was the only way.
"What a waste of time," he growled as he stepped into the shower to take a bath and wash off the stink he had accumulated in prison.
As the water washed over him, Nyx absentmindedly thought, 'I'll lie low for now, this was a close one and I can't always be depending on Momo to save me always.'
'Now that I remember, didn't the academy promise me a reward? I hope they give me something good.' It was wrong of Nyx to think about receiving a reward despite knowing what he did, but the red-haired boy was someone who had long sold his conscience and could shamelessly receive things he didn't work for.
The next day was a practical class, and Nyx and Apollo got up a bit early. Since the death of Yiran, Nyx and Apollo were visibly at ease, saved from the muscle head's constant antagonizing remarks.
"Hey, you guys want to have dinner before going to classes?" Anna, the house prefect, stopped Nyx and Apollo at the entrance of their door. This was a first for Nyx; other times Apollo just grabbed something from the kitchen for both of them; they'd never gotten a formal invitation.
But they didn't know that it was because they were always busy, and Nyx hadn't even spent that much time in the Yellow House.
After staring at the kind girl who had the same name as his sister, Nyx said, "Yes, we would like to have 'breakfast.'"
Anna blushed when she realized that she'd said dinner instead of breakfast.
Soon the two arrived at the large table where there were students already waiting for them. Sitting down, all of them were surprisingly friendly to Nyx, even serving him food. The third and fourth years were also nice, even trying to strike up a conversation with him.
Watching them, Nyx couldn't help but sneer in his mind. 'Fools.'
