Chapter 10 - Villian Evolution System

"Oh my god!" Isaac exclaimed in surprise. "This is indeed a black color. Did that rascal really poseses a black-grade talent?"

After uttering these words, Isaac found it challenging to believe, and his heart pounded fast, so fierce that he could hear the sound himself, his hands trembling.

He tried not to believe it, but the proof was undeniable right in front of him.

The intensity radiating from the light caused Isaac to stumble, staggering back and hitting the wall as the glow cast shadows on the walls.

'Legend-' Isaac started to stutter like a broken tape, speaking incomprehensible gibberish.

He was genuinely shocked!

This was supposed to be legends and myths that no one ever believed were true.

If people who awakened red-grade talent were geniuses, then black-grade, like the cliché saying, were one in a million. They were individuals capable of reaching the mortal threshold of power and becoming walking gods on earth.

It was rumored that all the Heroes in the world, including Torrin Blackstar, had taken the test hoping to awaken the black grade, but no one activated the black talent. Even Humanity's mightiest Hero, the Public had thought would awaken the black talent, only awakened a red-grade talent.

Since then, the world had believed awakening the black talent was deemed impossible and useless. At least, that was what the world had believed till today.

As the light finally disappeared, Isaac recollected his composure and started to think clearly.

'If his Black-grade talent does this, does it mean he would be Stronger than Torrin and Dalton?' Isaac thought as he stared at the appraisal stone, which was back to normal. Then he clenched his fist, looking around to ensure he was the only one in the hall.

After scanning the area, he placed his hands on the appraisal stone, and it vanished. As he walked out of the hall, there was only one thought in his head.

"I must report this to 'the order' before this rascal becomes a threat." A determined glint shone in Isaac's eyes as he left the hall.

As he did, little did he know that there was another presence in the room, too powerful even for him, a tier 2 Hero, to detect.

"I knew there was something special about that boy. " Momo smiled .

Unaware that his life was in danger, Nyx stopped before a 2-story dilapidated building with shattered windows and doors in bad condition. The red-haired boy was not the only one standing before this building. Behind him were several other students who had awakened yellow-grade talent.

A few minutes ago, the vice principal had briefed them that they'd be divided into 3 houses based on their talent. She'd said it wasn't a division among them, but a place they'd spend their rest after classes.

But looking at the rundown building before him and the other two, Nyx couldn't help but scoff in his mind.

'Hypocrites. If they didn't want to create a division, then why didn't they make all buildings similar to Red and Blue house."

From a distance, it was easy to see that the Red House was massive and kept in good condition; there were even servants tending to the gardens, and Nyx suspected that there were even more servants inside.

One might wonder why Nyx was here despite his nonexistent talent? It was because there was no house for him, so he was paired up with those that had yellow-grade talent.

"I know I'm trash, but to pair me up with an even bigger trash is depressing." One boy commented loudly, garnering the attention of everyone who subconsciously gave Nyx a stare.

They all shared the same sentiment.

The red-haired boy remained unbothered at their antics, but he didn't forget to sneak a look at the person, finding out that it was none other than the muscle-bound Yolan's twin brother, Yiran. It seemed he also passed the exam. Luckily, the conversation didn't escalate more than this because at that moment someone stepped out of the building.

"You must be our juniors," said a tall girl with her hair tied behind her glasses. She was wearing a standard blue uniform, suggesting she was at least a third-year student, and she had this kind elder sister vibe about her that made people want to respect her.

"My name is Anna, and I'm the prefect of this house. Quit standing there and come in; let me show you around." The girl waved and walked inside, the others following behind her.

As he stepped into the seating room, Nyx discovered it wasn't that terrible. Although the furniture looked old, they were still kept in fairly good condition. On the walls, there were frames of people whom Anna said were past perfects of the yellow house.

Looking at them, the red-haired boy knew they weren't outstanding; if not, he would've remembered them from back in his days as Nightmare.

After a short bout of looking around, everyone was then led to their respective rooms. In a surprising twist, Nyx, Apollo, who also had yellow-grade talent, and Yiran were made to share the same room. Upset, Yiran had left to sort out a way to change rooms, saying he couldn't stay in the same room with Nyx.

Apollo had also left, saying he wanted to look around, leaving Nyx to be alone, something the red-haired boy appreciated greatly as now he could finally think properly.

The string of events had left little time for him to think, but when he tried to, he discovered his brain was surprisingly blank. Overwhelmed by the sudden surge of power and the mysteries surrounding his own existence, Nyx found it challenging to process everything. It was after a few moments that he realized he didn't have any memories of this body. But he wasn't bothered about this for now. What left him even more intrigued was this body's strength.

Walking into the bathroom, Nyx stopped before the big mirror and took off his clothes and finally took a look at his body.

"I knew it." Staring back at the red-haired was a body with lean muscles that contained explosive power that'd put even bodybuilders to shame, but what stood out most was the scars.

"What did this kid go through to have a body like thi-" Nyx paused when he saw the enigmatic bracelet shining with a faint white light.

Ding!
