Chapter 30 - A Letter To The Butcher Clan

"Mr. Isaac, it seems you were wrong," Momo commented as he stared at the red-haired boy who was sleeping peacefully in the cell room. If Momo didn't know about Nyx's adventure, even he'd have been deceived into thinking the boy was actually sleeping.

"He's quite the sleepy one, huh?" Momo watched with a hint of amusement as Isaac frantically searched the room for any clue of the boy's disappearance.

"How is this possible?" Isaac exclaimed. He took a closer look at the bars of the cell again but still couldn't even find a speck of blood. Everywhere looked as if someone had used a magic eraser to wipe any trace of the boy's escape.

"But... but I saw it, he was here, he even killed the guard," Isaac stammered, his face growing as pale as a sheet of paper. Everyone present in the room was now looking at him as if he had gone senile.

"Yeah, the guard is dead," one teacher rolled her eyes as she stared at Daniel who was standing at the side. The burly security guard had no recollection of anything that happened; all he remembered was falling asleep on duty, something he wanted to keep a secret.

Because if they found out that he was sleeping on duty it would cost him his job. Besides, what were these people talking about? Why would they even think he was dead when he was standing right before them?

"Mr. Isaac, explain yourself!" Camila uttered in a cold tone. She was very annoyed because Isaac just got her hopes up for nothing and wasted the time she'd have used to find the intruder.

Isaac was still in disbelief and now he was even doubting if all he'd seen was just a dream. Did he hallucinate too much of killing the red-haired boy that he started dreaming about it?

'No, but it felt too real; did I just make a fool of myself?' Isaac swallowed hard, but he knew that wasn't even his major problem. His major problem was that now he would have to step down from the administrative council.

Just then Isaac saw a smirk on the red-haired boy's sleeping face. It was then he realized that this little rascal had played him and now everyone thought he was insane.

'Serves you right,' Nyx thought. With the help of Violet, sneaking out of the red house was pretty easy. After arriving, he'd carefully removed the [Dark Entralment Amulet] from Daniel's neck and Violet had pushed a healing pill into the guard's mouth, bringing the dead man back to life.

'The pill was too expensive to waste it on him, but well, it served its purpose.'

Honestly, Nyx didn't care about Daniel's life. The reason he'd told Violet to give her expensive pill to the guard was to cover up his tracks and make it seem as if nothing had happened.

Before that though, Nyx and Violet had thoroughly cleaned the cell. Since there were no other students held captive in the administrative office, it was smooth sailing and the duo encountered no problem.

At first, after seeing the state of the guard, Nyx was confused; he had even thought there was an actual villain running around the academy. Luckily for the red-haired boy, Daniel was still alive. It was from the latter that Nyx had discovered that it was Isaac who caused this mess and had tried to kill him.

It was at that moment Nyx had decided to give the bald man a payback and it had worked; not only had he caused the man to lose his position at the Administrative Council, he had also branded Isaac with the reputation of being insane.

'Now people would think twice before believing anything he says,' Nyx thought with a smile on his face.

Now all the red-haired boy had to do was to wait for Momo to get him out of this shithole.

(The Administrative Building, Inside A Lavishly Decorated Grey Office)

Momo was currently seated on his office table, and before him was a piece of paper.

'I should probably fulfill my part of the deal before time runs out,' Momo thought as he started to scribble on the paper. Gradually, letters filled the paper and at the end of the paper, Momo twisted the ring on his right finger and pressed it at the bottom of the paper.

Folding it up, Momo walked towards the window of the Office. Pushing it open, the morning sunlight reflected in his eyes and blinded him for a moment. When the blindness disappeared, there was a golden eagle flapping its wings before Momo.

"It's been a while, old friend," Momo said as he fastened the letter to the eagle's leg. "I've a letter for you to deliver to someone; hope you won't fail me."

The Butcher clan was among the ten prestigious clans that were below the five Elite Clans, and they were located in Asia. Although they were just ranked sixth on the Prestigious Clan rankings, which was the official ranking for prestigious clans, they were still a force to be reckoned with because the leader of this clan was a Tier 1 Superhuman.

Even among the Tier 1, he was a very strong man and had once led an expedition into the lost lands that greatly expanded the influence and territory of the Butcher clan.

The Butcher clan leader, known simply as Hanzhi Butcher, was a figure feared and respected throughout the supernatural community. His power and ruthlessness were legendary, and his influence extended far beyond the boundaries of his clan; almost everyone in Asia knew about him.

Whether it was because the clan was located in Asia or for some other reason, the base was situated in a dense forest and the architecture was similar to an ancient Chinese palace with slanted roofing.

Currently, Hanzhi Butcher, an imposing man of over 6 feet, with silver hair and a piercing gaze, was strolling through his courtyard. He exuded an aura of authority that commanded respect from all who crossed his path.

Behind him was a bald, kind-looking man who was sporting a butler uniform, and he had his head bowed in respect before the patriarch.

Very soon, the patriarch saw a golden eagle approaching him. As he saw the eagle, a bead of sweat appeared on Hanzhi's temple. This eagle was well known by the elites of Earth because it was the means of communication between the top people in the supernatural world.

As the eagle landed on Hanzhi's hand, the patriarch carefully untied the paper and read.
