Chapter 19 - Real Bullying

The northern region was just like Jeremy's past life's mother, fucking hot.

Every few seconds, the volcanoes dotted around the area would erupt and secrete more lava on the already molten burning world. From the sky, the northern pole of NoKiNoDe looked red and saffron in color, filled with magma.

But towards the border, the magma had cooled down significantly, forming thick layers of black stones with wide cracks of magma pulsating through them.

The temperature was so unbearable that every student was equipped with air-conditioned full body suit that could make this temperature slightly bearable. Alas, with his insulating body armour of fat, Jeremy was suffering.

Due to his bulky frame and fat in his body, the heat was even more unbearable for Jeremy. He had hoped they would take them to southern regions, but alas, it is what it is.

"Hello students, meet Mr Spike, he will be our guide for today!" the vice principal of the adademy, a fat middle-aged man introduced a young looking lean man with clean shaven face and gelled hair.

"Hello there," he began, his voice sounding deeper than Jeremy initially guessed, "I am Spike and I have been living on these borders for 21 years of my life. So rest assured, as long as you obey my commands and stay together, nothing will happen to you."

'I want something to happen to me though…' Jeremy thought with a low scoff, but instantly, Spike's eyes darted to Jeremy who scoffed.

His eyes hardened looking at the fat ugly young man, "I only have 2 rules here. I don't tolerate disobedience. And I definitely don't tolerate any disrespect. So unless you want to take a swim in our natural hotsprintgs—"

He glanced at the bubbling pool of magma and continued, "I suggest you not to break any rules."

"Yes, sir!" All students replied at once, and Jeremy said that too, just with an added sentence in his mind.

'Yes, sir! I need to disrespect you enough to die!'

Normally this much would have been enough to trigger the NoDe penalty,

However after staying with Aria for quite a long time, Jeremy learnt some tricks. He could manipulate the thoughts in his mind to avoid the penalty.

It wasn't possible for the most people but Jeremy wasn't like the most people.

He manipulated his thought process into a protective measure, 'Yes, sir. I might die if I disrespect you too much.'

Thinking of it like this, it sounded like a normal fearful response where a person is practising what not to do so he/she doesn't fuck it up.

Spike glared at Jeremy's amused face which was hiding behind a transparent visor of his AC suit. But after seeing Jeremy's non-focused state, Spike sighed and began to explain some basic survival tactics.

Such as they shouldn't touch anything and don't even dare to go near the fences. Always keep the zipper locked and keep a note of your body's health to avoid overexhaustion. The exhausted youngsters were permitted to sit in the waiting stations until Spike came back to fetch them.

Needless to say, these people will be getting lower stars when compared to their classmates.

And in this academy, stars mattered a lot. They could be used to redeem lots of cool things and also be used to improve the grades, though Jeremy didn't care much about the grades, but if he does well in the eyes of Spike, he will get more freedom than others.

So as Spike, the teachers and students started their walk while Spike blabbered about the borders, its dangers and the magma regions, Jeremy stuck close to him and attentively listened to everything.

'Oh… I might have got a wrong opinion of him, he is quite a hard worker.' Spike smiled slightly when he saw Jeremy listening to everything and even noting it down.

Alas, if only he checked his notes…

// Borders are covered by very tall electric fences. //

// The electric fence on the way 'Lat xx long yy' is broken and can be breached for a dip in lava //

// The guards shift at 00:00 sharp and during the shifting, there is at least 5 minutes delay. //

// The waiting points are guarded and watched over to keep anyone from leaving without permission. //

// The best choice is to sneak to the non-functional fence or wait for the last day where we can get a free pass to go anywhere, of course with the supervision of Aria. //

The plan of action was created and the preparations were made, now all Jeremy had to do was stay on the path.

"Oi fatty, I didn't expect you to keep up." While walking, Jeremy stumbled when he felt someone slap his helmet.

His balance was disturbed and he barely managed to keep it.

"Ronald Reyes." Jeremy's gaze frosted as he turned around to look at the hateful man.

"Luke Orsics, the trash of Orsics who looks like piss on dog shit."

"Better than being an actual dog shit sprinkled with gold dust, right, Mr Reyes?" Jeremy taunted, looking up at him.

"You!" Ronald's arms flexed, his muscles bulging as he got ready fire a punch.

Jeremy also sharpened his gaze and was prepared to receive the punch.

"No fighting, -100 Stars to both of you."

But before they could fight, Spike's calm voice wafted into their ears and soon they were showered by humiliating jeers of their fellow peers.

Though most of them were laughing at Ronald for getting shit talked by the weakest student of the class.

'I used to use the excuse of bullies to gain sympathy, but damn, if the bullies here are like this, I need to give them sympathy instead!'

Jeremy covered his face and laughed, maybe the people here didn't know but if Jeremy was to show what the real bullying is, Ronald will end up on the hospital bed with a whiskey bottle stuffed up his asshole.

And if Jeremy was feeling darker, the whiskey bottle might end up getting broken into shards after getting inserted inside.

'Be glad I am more focused on dying, Ronald.'
