Lucian stepped into the blue portal with many different people at the same time. There were old people, young people, some of them were fat, and some were fit… there really were all kinds.
As he crossed the portal, he looked around himself.
'Where did everyone go? Where did Ava go?'
It seemed the blue portal separated people from one another. Lucian couldn't begin to imagine what was mentally happening to Ava. She was probably out of her mind.
"Ah. I'm glad I'm not nearby. I wonder how she will react once she sees me again. Whatever, let's focus on this. It's way more important."
Lucian was in a white room. The walls, the ground, the roof, everything was white except for one thing: a beautiful black pedestal in the middle of the room. Lucian, having nothing else to do, walked in its direction, wondering what he would be able to find on it.
On the pedestal was a small tablet, and under it was a name engraved: [Tutorial Point Shop]. Lucian didn't ask himself many questions and tapped on the screen, opening it. As he did that, all sorts of items appeared on the screen. There seemed to be an infinite amount of them as Lucian kept scrolling and scrolling, never reaching the end of it.
"Can't we filter those items to search for what we want?"
Finding the things he wanted would be hell if such a thing wasn't possible.
Lucian looked in the bottom right, where his budget was written. He had a total of 2700 points, which he had gotten from killing one zombie and Olivia. It wasn't a massive amount of points like Alex had gotten, but it was better than nothing.

-Class Advancements

Lucian looked at all those choices while putting one of his hands under his chin.
'Let's check the average prices for each category.'
He tapped on [Class Advancements], which was at the top, and then different classes appeared. Each of them had a rank, just like the stats with a small description.
'Basically, this category is for me to choose a class for me to awaken. Still, maybe it will be a bit too expensive.'
—-----------
[Class Advancements]
-[1500 Points] Cook (Common Class): You can learn special meals that can heal and give strength to others—a good class for a cannon fodder like you.
-[1500 Points] Bard (Common Class): You can give some buffs to your allies by singing—a good class for trash like you.
-[1500 Points] Tactician (Common Class): You can guide your allies more accurately. Perfect for someone like you who wants to stay in the backlines and hide.

"Shit, this is expensive. Only three of them are priced at 1500 Points. The rest are over 3000 Points, meaning there's no point in looking at them."
Lucian was also not too pleased with the options thrown at him.
"What's the problem with this system? It's insulting me whenever possible. Did I hurt it or something?"
He didn't spend too much time looking at them as he immediately started looking at the next Category, the Stat Potions.
The name seemed pretty straightforward. Potions would grant people stats such as Strength, Stamina, Endurance, and many others by drinking it.
—-----------
[Stat Potions]
-[200 Points] Strength Potion: Grants 1 Strength.
-[200 Points] Stamina Potion: Grants 1 Stamina.
…

Lucian briefly looked at that section once again, as it was basically the same items over and over again. The prices were always the same. Only the potion's name would change with the stat to which it would grant an increase. It wasn't very interesting, and Lucian tapped on the next Category right away [Weapons].
As he tapped on the Category, Lucian was pleased as it was the first Category that possessed quite good prices for the quality of what he would get. He also noticed that all the weapons he was offered were daggers, probably because the system had decided they were the best weapon for someone like him.
—-----------
[Weapons (Daggers)
-[500 Points] Silver Dagger (Common): An average dagger in everything there is. Perfect to be used as a training tool. It's a little better than that trash you call a dagger.
-[1000 Points] Grimsteel Dagger (Rare): A dagger made with a strange metal that is extremely robust and sharp. The dagger will have no problem cutting through most things. Though, it's useless for you.
-[2500 Points] Enigma Dagger (Heroic): A dagger made with a multitude of metal. It is a very good dagger that can be used for everything. However, there is no point in buying it as cannon fodder except if you want to give it as a gift when you're killed.
-[10000 Points] Sunfire Dagger (Legendary): Let's not even talk about it.
…
—-----------
"The daggers look good and quite nice, but the system is somewhat right… even if it isn't using nice words. There really isn't much of a point in me buying a dagger when I won't be in the frontlines."
Lucian was now about to tap on the last Category, and he truly hoped it would help him choose. He hoped there would be one decent skill that he would be able to make use of. Because from what he had seen previously, he wasn't sure what would be the best for him to buy.
—-----------
[Skills]
- [1000 Points] Parry (Common): You can parry attacks with much better accuracy than before.
- [1500 Points] Trap Creator (Rare): A skill that makes crafting various Traps such as landmines possible.
- [2500 Points] Ghostwriter (Unique/Heroic): A skill that only cannon fodder could have the opportunity to buy. Obtain a book called [Chrono Book] that lets you see a few minutes into the future (You can see further in the future as the Creativity Stat increases). Able to change the story shown in the book every three days.
—-----------
"Unique? Was that a thing?"
Lucian was a little confused when he saw that the skill was not only Heroic but also Unique. The description of the skill was also very interesting, and Lucian knew that it would help him a lot, especially since Lucian would be in danger most of the time because of how weak he was.
A few seconds passed, and Lucian quickly looked at all the items he had seen. Lucian didn't think for too long as the choice seemed obvious.
He decided to pick the [Ghostwriter] Skill with a Creativity Stat Potion. The two of them completed the other, which was the perfect choice in Lucian's eyes.
As he bought both items, he received a small book with a small bottled potion. Lucian drank the potion, adding one point to his Creativity, and stored the book inside a small bag he had been wearing since the beginning.
'I wonder what Alex and Ava picked? That guy was probably able to buy almost everything.'
