To the side of the room was a separate bathing area, enclosed by a folding screen of polished cedar. Inside, a large wooden bathtub sat, its interior lined with soft cloths for drying oneself. A variety of aromatic oils were neatly arranged on a wooden shelf nearby, awaiting use.
A large, ornate desk made of special wood sat against one wall, its surface polished to a mirror-like sheen. Beside it was a bookshelf filled with various scrolls and tomes. On the opposite side of the room, a fireplace was set, its mantle adorned with small statues of jade and ivory. A crystal lantern hung from the ceiling, casting a warm, inviting glow throughout the room.
Adjacent to the main room was a smaller chamber, furnished with simple cots and a wooden table. This was clearly meant for the guards and attendants, allowing them to stay close to their young master while affording him privacy.
