Tumu led the way to an empty table and took a seat. Wuyi sat opposite him. Lin and Jia, the attendants, took seats at a smaller table adjacent to theirs. Behind them sat their towering six-foot guard, Zhen.
Soon, the innkeeper himself arrived to serve them personally, as Tumu, in fact, was the owner of the inn.
Tumu, in a generous mood, ordered a variety of dishes for himself: Scale Dumplings, Feather Noodles, and Tiger Soup. He also requested a large vat of Plum Wine.
After noting down Tumu's lavish order, the innkeeper turned his attention to Wuyi. Wuyi glanced at Tumu, as if prompting him.
Realizing his oversight, Tumu cleared his throat and said, "Half a Lotus Chicken, Tofu, and Rice for the young master." He paused, then asked, "Would you like some wine?"
Wuyi shook his head. Tumu nodded and added, "Bring him some special Cloud Tea from the north to accompany the meal."
