"SCREEECCCHHH!!!!"
In the classroom, far from where Haru stood, the Roachina screeched furiously, finally grasping that it had been deceived, and its prey was nowhere to be found.
After its rampage ended, the state of the classroom was beyond anyone's imagination. The walls, once standing tall, were now charred and shattered, contributing to the fiery chaos.
The flames were roaring and were huge enough that they were reaching the creature's half height, spreading in all directions and leaving nothing untouched. The scene inside the classroom resembled a true inferno, a living hell.
If Haru had indeed stayed behind and fought, surviving the rampant destruction would have been a genuine wonder.
In the midst of the wreckage, Roachina stood at the center, surrounded by dancing flames that played around its dark, resilient shell. Despite the infernal heat and the engulfing flames, its sturdy exterior remained unaffected. However, it had to shield its eyes from the fire, recognizing them as a vulnerable point.
Yet, despite the destructive display, Roachina wasn't unscathed. After going on a relentless rampage and hurling fiery-balls in all directions for a few minutes, it exhibited signs of fatigue and was audibly gasping for breath.
However, the fatigue soon transformed into seething rage as Roachina perceived itself as a victim of Haru's deception.
Disregarding the engulfing flames, it walked toward the huge broken hole in the wall that was facing toward the outside of the building, and flew into the air.
"SCREECCHHH!!!" Bathed in moonlight, the enraged predator swiftly detected Aki's location and emitted a furious screech that echoed through the night.
As it soared in the direction of Aki's presence, within mere seconds, it flew directly above the football field and its eyes were fixing on one distinct figure over there – Haru.
'You are already here, huh? Good thing we prepared it on time.' Haru thought as his eyes reflected the creature that was hovering in the air.
Haru stood resolutely in the center of the football field, his expression was serious and heart pounding slightly. He was well aware that they had only one opportunity to slay the monster with the preparations they had just made.
The area where they were the football field proved to be the optimal battleground for facing Roachina. Its expansive space allowed for agile evasion of the creature's fiery balls, even in the event of another rampage. Moreover, the surrounding high fence provided a protective barrier from potential Zombie threats, ensuring they could concentrate solely on confronting Roachina.
"Akio! Let's do as we planned!" Haru shouted in the direction where Akio was hiding before facing Roachina.
"Come at me, you Roach!!"
"SCREECHH!!" Roachina fixated its attention solely on Haru and seeing him stand fearlessly, the creature emitted an enraged screech and created a sizable fiery projectile in his direction.
However, an unexpected twist occurred as the fiery ball was about to be unleashed.
Swoosh!
A bolt sliced through the air, intercepting the fiery projectile and exploding it before it could reach Haru. The one behind the attack was none other than Akio, who skillfully fired the bolt while concealing himself in the stands on the right side.
"SCREECHH!!" Roachina, unaware of the interruption, attempted to launch the fiery projectile once more, only to have it detonated before reaching Haru.
"What? Can't fire it anymore? As I expected, once a roach will always be a roach." Before the Roachina could think or understand about the anomaly, suddenly, Haru tried to taunt it, as if trying to lure it into something.
"SCREECHH!!" Enraged of Haru's taunt, Roachina abandoned the use of fiery projectiles and instead lunged at Haru with its metallic scythe-like arm, hurtling directly towards him.
Despite the imminent threat, Haru exhibited no signs of nervousness. Instead, a slight smile came over his face and a crimson glint illuminated his eyes.
Swoosh! Within a few seconds, Roachina descended rapidly, rapidly closing the gap between them as it thrust its metallic arm forward.
In response to the imminent threat, Haru swiftly raised his chain-made shield, intercepting the approaching metallic limb without hesitation.
Bang!
A loud muffled sound emerged as those two came in contact and knowing the strength and danger behind that arm Haru did not hesitate before he parried it quickly and tried to maintain a distance between them.
But Roachina wasn't willing to give Haru the opportunity to regain his footing on the ground. As Haru was moving back, it shot forth another arm at him with all its strength.
Seeing another threatening attack incoming, Haru didn't try to block or even evade the attack. Instead, he did something entirely different as he quickly blocked his ears and swiftly closed his eyes.
In the face of Haru's unconventional move, Roachina, unable to grasp the reasoning behind it, pressed forward with its relentless assault.
However, as it closed in on Haru's unprotected stomach, its attention was abruptly seized by a peculiar metallic object entering its line of sight which was timely thrown by Akio.
Looking at the object and Haru's behavior, recognition struck Roachina as it realized that the same black object from the classroom, responsible for blinding it earlier, had resurfaced. Reacting swiftly, same as what Haru did, the monster promptly shut its eyes in an instinctual bid to shield itself from the impending threat.
Bang! As Roachina timely closed its eyes, the stun grenade quickly exploded giving out a bright light on the football field.
"SCREECH!" Roachina screeched in pride as it protected itself from being blinded again since it already knew what that thing could do. But unlike what it expected, Haru completely different plan for it.
Despite the stun grenade affecting Haru, even though he covered his ears to minimize the impact, he quickly took a different approach.
"BLACK CHAINS!!" Haru, taking advantage of Roachina's distraction with the stun grenade and its closed eyes, placed both hands on the ground. He then shouted as he channeled his Prana and sent a mental connection down below.
It was then something strange occurred as the ground shook a little.
Rattle!
In the next instant, five long chains emerged from the ground in a perfect pentagon shape, shooting straight toward Roachina standing who was in the middle of those chains.
Hearing the same noise of chain that once caught its legs, Roachina abruptly opened its eyes in alert but it was already too late.
Rattle! Without wasting a second, the five Black Chains swiftly coiled around Roachina, tightly restraining its movements from all five directions.
"SCREECCCCCHHHHHHHH!!" Roachina, feeling the unyielding grip of the chains that seemed to have emerged from the ground, exerted all its strength to break free. However, every attempt to move or fly was met with resistance.
"Hah... It somehow worked... " Observing the success of his plan and Roachina's entrapment, Haru let out a satisfied sigh before grinning and taunting, "So, how does it feel to be trapped, B*tch?"
