A captured slave was helpless to his new owners. He or she would die if she did not follow or heed the master who abused them.

And often times, they presented themselves in public as those who willingly entered into slavery by selling their rights and time to pay off some debts.

But in reality, nearly three-fourths of the slaves in this world were actually captured and were victims of human trafficking.

The kingdoms and the wealthy have become skilled at hiding this, and those who were involved in it have done so quite well.
