David could feel that mana rapidly draining from his body, but he knew he could not lose focus now, or the spell would explode on his face.
Meanwhile, Emily dashed towards the foe. She could feel her body lighter and overflowing with energy. She dismissed her usual knife and conjured a pair of butcher knives, one in each hand.
The Elite monkey noticed her and quickly lunged towards her, smashing its giant fists on the ground to crush her. Still, at that instant, Emily rolled to her side before slashing her knife at the monkey's fists and dealing substantial damage.
