We leave at first light and ride up along the coast. A vast expanse of sparkling blue waters stretch out before us.
It's breathtakingly beautiful.
The waves roll gently toward shore and crash softly against it.
I can see seagulls flying overhead. They squawk noisily as they dive down to pick food from the sand.
Celeste watches with fascination as they do so.
Her eyes follow their movements carefully and she tries to imitate the way they swoop through the air and glide across the water.
She squints for a moment and holds her arm out beside her before snapping it out dramatically in a similar path as the diving gulls. "Swoop! Like that!"
I can't help but chuckle a little bit when Celeste decides to show her mastery over bird calling. It's silly, but I can tell it means something to her, and it makes her happy.
A loud shriek from behind startles everyone into looking back at the wizard.
