It takes effort not to immediately fall into Beatrix's trap simply because it exists.
It's offensive to me that she'd lay it.
It's unforgivable, completely infuriating beyond words that she'd lay such a trap using May as the bait.
It's hard to believe that even a terrible person could choose to hurt a child as sweet and young and obviously innocent as she.
But....
Here we are.
Beatrix lives up to -
perhaps down to -
her worst reputation. Every time.
It makes me want to gag.
It makes me want to skewer her.
It makes me want to do far worse than just stab her.
"Well. Lucky you. " Beatrix's voice drips with disdain and sarcasm, as if she finds it insulting to even be expected to address us with words.
It's probably true.
She sighs and shakes her head, though her sword is still pointed to May's neck.
