When it comes time to choose where we'll be staying for the night, of course it's The Boar's Feast. There are dozens of places to stay in Carleon, but Lucas always chooses that same inn his friend runs.
It is as friendly, cozy, and comfortable as it ever is when we walk in. May holds my hand in one of hers and her bag of candy with the other.
Craig immediately rushes over to us. "Lucas! I didn't expect to see you...! It's been a while! Wait...is that a child?!"
"Yes!" May says in her high-pitched, squeaky little voice. "I'm May! I'm six!"
"She's from Norguard," I clarify.
Craig nods. "Not your secret love child?" He jokes.
I scoff. "No."
May looks to Lucas. "What's that?"
I elbow Lucas, but he grins and looks down at May. "He just wanted to know if we were your mommy and daddy."
