Chapter 204 - Slow Growth

Riding with the caravan is tedious. It's slower than even when we'd been walking our horses.

Still, there's a certain safety in numbers that I've missed since previous caravan jobs.

And while there's no doubt many who are willing to take advantage of this disaster to commit crimes, we're lucky enough not to encounter any bandits or thugs brave enough or stupid enough to approach an entire caravan of people.

Or perhaps we just don't look like we have anything worth risking it for.

Who's to say?

In the end, it's always a balance between those two elements anyway.

Regardless, I'm just happy we make it to Celend without having to deal with trouble.

I have no doubt we'll be fine even if we do encounter trouble, but I can't help but want the ride to be smooth and peaceful so long as May is here and not safely sleeping in Lucas' manor.
