May sits next to Roland as he eats his dinner. "I wanna hear more stories...!" May declares gleefully after she finishes most of her food.
I am cleaning the remains of my food off the plate with my bread, and listening intently.
I'm glad that May is opening up. It makes me happy. She's a sweet girl who deserves happiness.
Roland blinks a couple times as if surprised. "Huh? Well...suppose I could tell another..."
She tugs on Roland's shirt. "Please...?" She pouts her lips as if giving up would cause her much misery and suffering. "Please, please, please!"
The man glances at me and chuckles under his breath before turning back to address the eager young girl at his side.
"Well I suppose I might be able to think of another one...but only if you promise to finish up that last spoonful of soup in front of you. How's that sound, huh?" He says teasingly as he reaches out to pinch at the tip of her nose.
