The manor is as lively as ever. Loud. Cheerful. Crowded.
I can't decide if I want to get a moment alone, or bask in it.
Lucas leans over my shoulder and reaches up to card his fingers through my hair, pressing light kisses to my temple.
I grumble. "People are looking, you know..."
"So?" He chuckles. "I love you~!" He hums contentedly, laying his chin on my shoulder and nuzzling me. "I'm so happy."
I squeeze his hand and roll my eyes, pretending to ignore the soft laughter of others. "Yeah yeah..." I tilt my head back, to let my eyes gaze into his. "...I am too."
He beams and his eyes twinkle.
I bite the inside of my cheek as a stupid, affectionate smile threatens to grow on my lips. "Shut up. You're making faces again."
"Whose fault is it that you look so beautiful?" He smiles, lifting a hand brushing his thumb across my cheek. He traces my cheekbone, gently and carefully.
