Celeste leads us into a large room that appears to be both the bedroom of her old teacher and his office. A large desk is positioned against one of the walls with three chairs facing it and a fourth sitting behind it. Various papers litter the room in various stages of cleanliness.
Bookshelves are filled with tomes that vary from pristine to tattered, the dust on each suggesting just how long they've been waiting for the old man to return to his study.
A single portrait of Cyril is situated over a dresser to our immediate left.
The painting has the least dust on it, as if it had been meticulously cleaned each day, while other things in this room had been left untouched longer. Even then it appears to be ancient and the oil paint is beginning to flake off.
On the opposite end of the room, a large bed rests unmade, blankets rumpled and thrown back in a way that suggests their owner rose in a hurry.
Lucas and I exchange a glance, while Celeste pauses.
