Chapter 130 - Nora

While the house is still lit by firelight, we enjoy a few drinks as well as some treats baked up by Nora.

In spite of her shyness, Nora talks well with Lucas, and soon they're talking about poetry.

I lose interest almost immediately.

I wander out of the room to look out into the city of Torrens.

The view isn't familiar: Torrens rebuilt, but no one made any attempt to rebuild it exactly as it was before the fire, and even if they had, this house had moved.

Looking out into Torrens from the window still feels...

I don't know what it feels. And that makes me uncomfortable.

I keep looking, though.

Eventually I feel the soft tapping of footsteps coming up beside me, and a gentle touch to my arm.

Talia smiles warmly up at me when I glance over. She's smaller than me. Paler, from a life spent more indoors. More delicate in her features, so that her one scar stands out more.

Adelaide never had a sister.
