The harder she tried the weaker she became. "Save yourself, I think I am a liability to you right now." She said to Eric who kept holding her hand and pulling her as he ran faster and faster toward the pack which was far away from their current position.
"I said ran back to the pack!" Eva snapped. "If you want to save me that bad then you'll come back with reinforcements." She said pulling her hand and pushing Eric forward to continue running.
"Do not look back no matter what happens. She added following slowly behind Eric who had no choice but to run away faster and quicker.
The more ever tried to run, the more her feet grew numb, weaker and weaker until they could take it no more helplessly falling on the ground.
"I can't believe this body is totally useless." She said hitting hard on her legs not noticing the beast behind her. She turned slowly as the fur on her body stood erect fear taking over. The smell was closer and maybe inches from her.
